Welcome to Sweet Serenity! This charming and fully updated 2 BR 2 BA lake front cabin is located just 60 miles from NYC on beautiful Candlewood Lake. Two bedrooms provide comfortable sleeping arrangements for 4 guests, and a queen sleeper sofa can accommodate an additional 2 guests in the living room. The well-stocked kitchen is equipped with new appliances and all of the basics. The open floor plan includes a cozy dining area that boasts gorgeous lake views from every angle, and the spacious living room features vaulted ceilings, and an impressive wood burning fireplace for snuggling on chilly evenings. Outside, enjoy spectacular sunset views from the fire pit, lakeside patio with seating for 6, or from the private dock. Show off your BBQ skills with a new Weber grill, take in the sights and sounds with a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail on your deck with bistro dining set, or take a kayak or paddle board out to explore the calm and secluded cove. If you feel like leaving Sweet Serenity, take advantage of our convenient proximity to wineries, flea markets, hiking, creameries and more, or take a short walk to our community beach club with private beach and basketball court.

Approved pets will at no time be allowed on furniture, pillows or bedding. Waste must be disposed of immediately. Fees will be charged for violations.

Summer visit to Candlewood Lake

Charming cottage in a great location! Had everything we needed. New Fairfield and surrounding areas have great restaurants and take out options! Highly recommend a stay in Candlewood lake.

Dreamy lakeside retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was very clean and well outfitted with even some extra special touches, which were very appreciated. The kids spend the days and nights fishing from the dock, while we paddle boarded, kayaked and grilled by the fire pit at night. My only regret is that we could not have had more time there! We absolutely loved everything and truly hope to come back again soon!

A stunning peaceful escape!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. We relaxed, read books, caught fish and watched the beautiful views of the lake. The host thought of everything we needed for our stay. The house is private and decorated with taste. Thanks for sharing. We’ve already made plans for a return and hope to make “Sweet Serenity “ a part of our travel plans in the years to come. Charming Lake House

The owner, Liz, and house manager, Lisa, were very quick to respond with helpful information. This home is perfect size for up to 4 people and provides everything you need in kitchen supplies as well as shower products, towels, fire pit wood, kayaks, paddle boards and more. The home was very clean and welcoming and situated in an area with easy access to groceries, gas, spirits, and several restaurants within a 5 to 25 min drive. Local marinas offer boat rentals and water sports equipment at reasonable prices so you can fully enjoy all that Candlewood Lake has to offer. Echo Marina was extremely great to work with. At Liz's suggestion, we had an incredible fine dining experience at McKinney & Doyle in Pawling NY, but weren't dissapointed at local establishments either. Thank you Liz and Lisa.

Perfect lakeside cabin for a family!

We had a great time enjoying the lake (fishing, boating, swimming) and surrounding country (hiking, quaint towns). The home was just the right size for our 5-person family, with great amenities, easy lake access, and a quiet and walkable neighborhood. The hosts were super responsive with any questions about the property and in providing tips and suggestions. We can't wait to go again!
