Nice vintage hotel stay
This hotel has an interesting history. I was unaware it was completely under reconstruction. The noise did not affect us. The Dan was a nice find (restaurant/bar).
The rooms are spacious, but missing some amenities such as extra soap, easily accessible info on the hotel and check-out time, etc. Having had vacation rentals I tend to notice these details. However, It was clean.
The comfort of beds is subjective unless the mattresses are simply worn out! I did sleep well even though I thought I would not due to the firmness of the mattress.
The makeshift gym area was too warm to use, but this was not the focus of our stay. Also, the walk to the parking lot can feel a little sketchy as there is a bus stop behind the hotel. I can't say I didn't feel safe, but this is a concern for some. Valet parking would be a great addition to this lovely property.
I enjoyed the easy walk to the riverfront, and feel once this place is restored it will be a standout property in Tampa.
