Stayed for 5 nights, was pretty equal distamce from all the attractions (6 flags, Seaworld, Riverwalk). Host was accommodating and house was clean and comfortable.
Overall, an OK stay. The neighbors to the rear have an extremely bright Ring spotlight camera that whistles, swivels, and shines directly into the back door and upstairs back windows. Extremely frustrating and disruptive. The house could use a deep clean; the walls, air filters, and floors were dirty and we had to buy a mop. The vacuum doesn’t work well and the washer and dryer take hours to complete a cycle; they need maintenance or replacement. The dishwasher top rack is also falling apart and the dining chairs are very wobbly. The check-in process was smooth and the owner was very responsive.
Here is a short list of what went wrong/broken while we were staying at the Vrbo: The downstairs toilet is clogged again. She is sending someone out. This is the 9th time we have had an issue:1. disposal did not work2. outlets in all 3 bathrooms did not work3. stair light did not work4. upstairs joint toilet clogged5. dryer broken (8 days without a dryer)6. upstairs joint toilet clogged7. upstairs toilet replaced - there was a lot of fecal matter in pipe8. 1/2 bath downstairs toilet cloggedThis led to a disruption in our stay.
The house itself was very nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. There were kitchen items there for your use which was nice as I like to have a good-cooked breakfast every morning.
The house did have some nightly creaks and cracks that were quite loud and unnerving until you become used to them. The television was adequate and I easily hooked up my Roku and could enjoy my favorite channels. This was not a vacation but rather a couple of weeks of work in the area. The daily commute to New Braunfels was easy but then again 35 can become a problem at times.
The only drawback was the very congested neighborhood. In the mornings there would be a car parked 1/4 of the way across the driveway. This made navigating early morning exits precarious. This neighborhood is also very noisy. Loud cars up and down the streets all day and night. Just like a very busy antfarm.
Stayed for 2 months while our house was being built, unit is located near lots of shopping and eats, great location. Property owner is very accommodating and we and a great stay, also fenced yard for our dog.
We stayed here for over a week and it was great for our needs except a few things. It was clean and cozy.
I do think the kitchen should have a few extra items like a 2nd kitchen towel, a colander, ice trays, and more typical seasonings. And, because we were staying for so long, I would have expected extra toilet paper and paper towels left for us. I ended up just buying more and I also bought a nonstick pan that I left there. Stainless steel isn't great for everything, especially when it's not top quality.
The stairs were a bit iffy and slick for our toddler so I had to buy a baby gate to put up. Other then that, decor is suitable for young kids.
I really needed a small desk to work at. Working at the dining room table, with family around, was extremely difficult and there was no other place to land besides a bed or the couch.
The neighborhood seemed safe except that everyone drives extremely fast. For a residential area, it was very scary having our kiddo out front just to get in the vehicle.
Overall, for the price, this was a great stay! There are so many things close by, grocery shopping, coffee, gas, retail, etc. The hosts were extremely helpful and fast when things were needed, especially when the battery died in a smoke alarm in the middle of the night! They were extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. I'd definitely stay again with minor tweaks!
Our stay was great! The amenities, and the overall comfort was perfect!
I thought the process was easy and seamless. The communication back and forth was fast and all of our questions were answered almost immediately! The house fit our family comfortably and overall, we would give this location a 5 star rating!
