About this property
Morrill Mansion Inn | 6 | Self Check In | Parking
Welcome to The Morrill Mansion Inn! This 1800's era townhouse has been meticulously restored to its original Italianate elegance. Formerly the Morrill Mansion Bed & Breakfast, we recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb & VRBO guests near and far as a boutique hotel.
Each room has a private ensuite bath, queen sized bed, smart TV (no cable but YouTube TV account), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), mini fridge, & one parking spot for *compact cars* only.
The Space: This historic home was built in the early 1800s for one of the founders of the B&M Factory (the M stands for Morrill). Up until 2021, the B&M factory had been exclusively making B&M beans and their infamous smoke stack was a staple in the Portland Skyline. What started as a single family home, the Morrill Mansion saw many other uses before morphing into a bed and breakfast in the 1990s, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb guests near and far. Architectural details that make the home unique have been restored and modern amenities have been added to make your stay in Portland comfortable.
With just eight guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with private ensuite bath, is furnished with a queen sized bed, television (not your traditional cable, we have a smart TV with a YouTube TV account which offers live channels), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini fridge. During the summer months (May through October) each room has a window AC unit and during heating season each room has their own Rinnai heater which allows you to control your own heat.
The guest rooms share the sitting room located on the first floor which has a coffee station and luggage nook for guests who need storage before and/or after check out.
***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee***
Other things to note: From November through March, we will be completing light renovations between 10am and 5pm. During this time you may hear hammering, chop saws, thuds, etc.

Wonderful stay. Bright, clean, cheerful, with all of the amenities I needed. Appreciate the privacy and terrific communication from Katrina. Definitely a wonderful place to recommend! Thank you, Katrina.
Clean, walkable location, and an excellent host. We had a really pleasant stay and highly recommend the Morrill Mansion when coming to stay in Portland.
This property served us very well for a weekend away in Portland. It was very conveniently located and if we had more time we would have explored the area more. Definitely can’t wait to come back!
This BnB was perfect for a quick trip to Portland. Checking in was seamless, the room was so clean, and the inn was extra cozy. Also love the additional amenities and tea/coffee available. Would definitely recommend this listing to any of my friends and stay here on future trips!
The inn is super charming and a short walk from restaurants and parks.
The room was bright, pretty and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to add a dresser or something to place luggage on.
I loved the plants and little shared kitchen.
Thanks for a great stay!

Property was lovely. Owners kept us informed of any issues such as when it was going to snow and no street parking allowed by city.
My husband & I traveled to Portland from Minnesota for a long weekend, & we greatly enjoyed our stay! This property is walking distance from many fun restaurants & bars. Our room was comfortable and even had live plants! We would recommend this property to anyone looking to experience Portland!
My wife and I spent 2 nights here and it was delightful. The room was clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The mini fridge came in handy and the amenities in the common kitchen (cups, utensils, microwave, filtered water, coffee maker) were an excellent touch. The neighborhood is about a 25 minute walk or a 6 minute car ride to most of the waterfront and there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants right in the neighborhood where the inn is located. Parking is easy, the neighborhood is safe, and accommodations were great.
My partner and I only stayed one night but had a great experience. I read online the parking spots were compact but they easily fit my Honda CRV. The place was quiet and clean. The room itself was great, with a booklet of food places and tourist attractions. We had some difficulty leaving at night because the front door is a pull (our mistake) and the landlord immediately communicated back to us! We would definitely stay here again.

The property was ideal for my visit, being close to where my son lives and a relatively easy walk to downtown and the Old Port. Checking in and out was straightforward, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the size of the room was fine for my needs.
My only slight disappointment was with some of the bathroom fixtures. The toilet seat was loose and the TP holder was in poor shape.
Why aren't more city inns like this? You get the cleanliness and beauty of a hotel, but the ease and efficiency of a rental property. Best of both worlds. The touchless check in and out process was so easy and efficient. The room was gorgeous and perfectly clean. There were even plants in the room, which gave it such an inviting feel. When we did have questions, the owner replied to our messages promptly. The location near the arts district is also preferable to the old port. Much cooler vibe.
This is a great spot for someone who wants to visit Portland, but doesn't want to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Oldport. There's a coffee shop within walking distance, and it's so quick to get downtown.
The house has great character and history. The renovation was well done to make my room comfortable while keeping a lot of the trims, doors, etc. Everything was clean and well maintained.
Katrina was really responsive. There was a snafu with the check-in process, but Katrina responded immediately. I was able to get into the building and my room with practically no delay. I would highly recommend any of her properties!
Went to visit Portland for the first time and this was the perfect little inn to do just that! Walking distance to our concert venue and so many restaurants :)
We were able to walk to the majority of the locations that we wanted to hit for our stay in Portland. The room was nice and the building itself was beautiful.
