The place was very clean and easy to access. Easy access to the city and makes exploring Charlotte convenient. Hosts were very accommodating and communication was excellent. Would stay here again if back in Charlotte.
My husband and I came for a bday weekend trip and really enjoyed our stay. We walked to the spectrum center for a game, and the walk was not far! Overall had a positive experience staying here.
Very cute place. Host was responsive
Pros:
Good location within short walk of convention center
Clean
Updated interior
Cons:
Very loud neighbors at night
Front door has gap you can almost see the outside.
Comfy little efficiency apartment perfect for a quick visit to Charlotte.
We came to Charlotte to get away for the weekend and this was a great apt. for just that. A short drive from Freedom Park and not far from NODA (and Cobo's Fish Tacos). Enjoyed the night at a Karaoke bar nearby (Jeff's Bucket Shop) then got up to walk it off the next morning at Thompson Park (right across the street). The place was perfect for our trip. Clean and comfortable with a nice view of the Charlotte skyline.
This was the perfect place to stay during our time in Charlotte. The unit is perfect for two people. It's walking distance to the Spectrum Center and so many other things downtown and is also a quick drive to Target and other parts of Charlotte. The owners were very responsive and helpful when I asked questions. The bed was really comfortable! I don't usually sleep well when I travel and sleep on a different bed, but I slept as good as I do at home in my own bed. We typically venture to Charlotte 1-2 times a year and plan to stay here again.

Disliked: Location
The layout of apartment was great. Communication with host was great. Location was next to a very active fire station and a popular bar. Parking gate was broken so anyone could get into the building. The doors are deadbolted but aren’t completely closed/secure. Had to move furniture in front of doors every night. The apartment wasn’t very clean upon move-in. The couch hasn’t been cleaned or vacuumed in many months. The front door to the street looks like the place is abandoned! Thick dust & cobwebs. Floor was sticky. Kitchen had almost no supplies to cook. Pots have seen better days, very few utensils. Toilet needs some maintenance- complicated to flush. And beware of the laundry machines - they destroyed several pieces of washable clothing. The place would be fine for a man staying downtown but for young women, I wouldn’t recommend due to safety.

Charlotte getaway
Despite some issues with property, weekend was enjoyable. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. All the wood floors were super sticky. My wife had to wipe down all the flat surfaces and mop the bathroom floor. The wipes were black after cleaning. The bed mattress sagged in the middle, pillows were uncomfortable and the bed frame squeaked every time you moved. I think we left it cleaner than how we received it. I manage a regional commercial/ residential cleaning company, so I’m being fare on saying the property owner should look for a better cleaning service. We could not access the parking garage and parking on the street was not ideal due to the bar patrons sitting on cars and breaking bottles at night. Overall though we enjoyed our weekend due to the close proximity to festivities in the city.

Nice place, active neighborhood at night
I didn’t expect the constant fire truck activity from the firehouse across the street. Maybe it was mentioned in the listing and I just missed it. The bar at the corner, as seen in the pictures, could be great, but on the nights I stayed, there was heavy traffic and groups of loud people hanging out in the street until all hours. It was a little tough to deal with, which is why I used the noise machine near the window upstairs.A secondary door lock would have been a nice addition for an extra layer of security. That front door lock was loose and could have been kicked in very easily. The coffee maker was a nice touch, but it DEFinitely needs to be descaled and thoroughly cleaned.LOCATION:For some reason, VRBO doesn’t show the actual location, so just to clarify, this property is Southeast of the Convention Center, about a 15-20 minute quick-paced walk.LAYOUT:The layout is a bit interesting. There are 20 steps from the first to the second floor. The bathroom is upstairs, which was a little inconvenient. The heat downstairs was nearly impossible to adjust without turning the upstairs into a sauna. Lastly, the shower water pressure was on the "barely" side.I didn't intend to degrade this property with a review, but I did reach out to the property manager with some concerns and never received a response.Overall, I’d still prefer staying here over any hotel. Nothing beats having your own space.Oh, and the couch was comfy. I passed out there a few times!
