Great concept, Medium execution
This 3 bed / 3 bath loft located on the third floor, right on Broughton Street in the Historic District of Savannah was very nice upon arrival. Clean, high thread count towels and sheets and generally well appointed throughout. Parking was a challenge, as expected. We had to park several blocks away in a parking garage.
A few suggestions:
1. The industrial loft look is very cool, but the plaster falling off the wall every time you open the door was a hassle. Get it sealed.
2. If you are going to advertise the unit will sleep 8 people, you need more seating in the main room. We only had 5 adults and couldn’t all sit down at the same time in the main room.
3. The Roku TVs paired with Apple TV is workable, as long as the remote control is properly synced with both units. Housekeeping should confirm this each day. We had very low volume on the only TV in the unit and no way to adjust.
4. At this price point, most other places we have stayed had a TV in each of the bedrooms, or at least the master bedroom and the main living space.
5. Think out the kitchen stuff. Nobody is looking to cook Thanksgiving dinner, but a few larger dishes, more dish towels and serving utensils would be helpful with takeout and simple meal prep.
6. Felt pads on the bottom of the wooden stools or chairs will keep them from screeching across the wood floors every time you move them at all. Also help the floor finish last longer.
7. Lastly, the electrical breaker to the refrigerator was loose. Not tripped, just loose, so it was off when we got there, then kept turning off threatening to melt our freezer stuff or have the fridge food go bad.
Most of these issues were reported to management, which was responsive, but not particularly helpful during our stay. We enjoyed our stay, but with a little attention to detail this place would be 5 stars across the board.
