Perfect location. Quiet, safe, beautiful street. Short walk to historic downtown. Charming, historic, yet comfortable interior. Comfy beds and pillows. Lots of cool things to check out inside. Quick polite responses when emailed a question. Overall an excellent stay. Highly recommend!
The house was perfect for two couples -two bedrooms with comfy king sized beds. Two nice outdoor areas One of the bedrooms is very dark though, as are the kitchen and common areas downstairs. The house is a little shabby- peeling paint in places, funky door knobs, a little mildew But overall the house served us perfectly and we had a lovely stay in savannah
Myself and a childhood friend came to Savannah for the weekend to catch up. The comfort and convenient location of the house made for a wonderful place for us to do such.
We loved staying in this historic home! The antiques, china and family photos really made it feel like you were staying in a piece of history. We enjoyed having morning coffee and evening wine on the veranda. This piece of Savannah history is a must stay!

This property has major issues!
Pro: Great location in historic part of town.
It's a big space.
Con: We were greeted by the smell of mold when opening the front door for the first time. And rightly so. The second flooring ceiling above the main stairway and two of the second floor doorways (primary bedroom and second bathroom) are covered in mold. Most of the downstair air vents are covered in mold, which was notable as the upstairs vent were clean.
Paint is peeling off the ceilings in a number of rooms. Wall paper is peeling from the walls.
There was what appeared to be blood on the primary bath wall.
The pace is cluttered. This house looks like the great grandparents died last week. Only their clothes were taken to Goodwill. And it is a vacation rental this week. Open just about any drawer and there are old lightbulbs, a fax machine and answering machine that had to be from the 70's, old pharmaceutical bottles. Weird. There was a rolltop desk that had old random papers scattered on the top, two used coffee cups, a dish full of old batteries, old cards, just stuff.
The kitchen floor is about 2-3 inches higher than the other flooring, so there is a set-down from kitchen into what was probably once a sun porch. The ceramic floor tiles are loose and held in place with blue painters masking tape.
The upholstered furniture has liquid stains.
The second upstairs bath has an electrical outlet hanging out of the wall. No cover plate.
I wish VRBO had a way to upload pictures.
Loved the historic elements of this townhome. One drawback was that it had limited kitchen supplies. We had to go buy baking sheets to cook frozen french fries. Also, while we generally felt safe while we were there, our car was broken into as we were packing to check out.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, close to many activities. Loved the cooling pad on the mattress. It is hot in Savannah!
Beautiful historical home located on Jones Street, which is considered one of the most be beautiful streets in historic Savannah. You could walk to River Street (or most anywhere) within 20 minutes. The bedrooms have ceiling fans (which i appreciate), comfortable beds, and TVs in each room. We really enjoyed the side porch in the morning with our coffee. The teens slept on the pull-out couch in the sunroom which they said was a little pokey but we added extra blankets (of which there were plenty) for padding. The home itself was clean but could use a little TLC. It has quite a few personal items that I assume were left behind by the previous owner and weren't cleaned out, including random can goods above the stove. Still, the home had lots of beautiful qualities and parking was easy. We enjoyed our stay!
Nice location. Ok with old homes, this was unkempt. Dirty. Some disrepair that would be a code violation. Front door handle kept falling off. No other way to exit the property. Busted outlets/switchplates. Broken window pane front window.

Southern Charm needs some cleaning
Very nice house in Southern Charm
Neighborhood. House itself could use a good cleaning. Impressive collection of books and antiques, but very dusty. Also patios/balconies need cleaning.
***Safety issue*** Bannister is very loose and shaky-fall issue for young and old. Needs major bolstering.
With updates and some decluttering-would world class Southern home.
It was clean, in a fabulous location (walking distance to almost everything!), the beds were comfortable, and the living space was nice.
Weird things: it sleeps six, but there weren't six of everything in the kitchen (like silverware, plates, and mugs). The house is literally filled with trash - old magazines, personal items, cassette tapes, and other odds and ends. It's all stuffed into drawers, so you'll find it as you look for the things you need for your stay. It wasn't bad, just really weird.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to the trolley and a quiet neighborhood. Loved the historical artifacts within the house. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.
The stay was nice. The only issue we had is that on of the people in our group had a hard time with the stairs. Otherwise the stay was nice. We did like it was convenient & within waking distance to Clarey’s Cafe and a trolley stop.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, lots of awake space on beautiful Jones Street! Highly recommend!

Cluttered
Listed as a Luxury rental
It was not
We are use to short term rentals that are sparse
Opposite here
We opened roll top desk to work at and it was full of odd items like a junk drawer
Lots of drawers throughout the house full of junk
Extra pictures were leaning up against walls
Old electronics ie. Microwaves, vcr shoved in cabinets
Back door hammered shut with board
Scotch taped wallpaper fix
Patio furniture unstable unsafe to use
Upstairs balcony decayed did not seem safe to walk on
Master bedroom bed was comfortable the other beds were not
This property really needs a massive clean up before renting it out again with a large dumpster available
Great location ! Easy to walk to sights in Savannah
Great binder that shared ideas of where to eat and what to see in Savannah
Enjoyed seeing the history of the house in pictures on the walls. This 1873 home has good bones !

Why they chose this property
The owner has kept this 3 story townhouse as his 2nd home because he loves the downtown Savannah life.
What makes this property unique
This home was not staged or decorated in a contrived faux antique style but instead was already a genuine treasure trove of Savannah lore and antiques. For vacation guests it was kept true to its historic roots, simply cleaned spotlessly and given fresh linens.
