Located on a quiet hilltop in Tamarindo with spectacular ocean and forest views, Casa Bambora is a complex/villa just 5 minutes walk from the main strip in Tamarindo where you can find a wide variety of restaurants, stores, nightlife and more and is just 10 minutes walk from world famous Tamarindo beach.

All alone on the 3rd floor here at Casa Bambora, this studio is very private and quiet and is available nightly, weekly or monthly, accommodates 2 people and is equipped with a full kitchen, AC, 32' HD TV with cable, wireless Internet, large bathroom with with large shower and hot water, king size bed and private balcony that wraps around all 4 sides of the room.

Up on the fourth floor of the complex is a shared furnished observation deck with an amazing 360 degree view, great for coffee in the morning while enjoying the spectacular ocean views and wide variety of birds that visit frequently, or a cold drink while enjoying the amazing sunsets over Tamarindo bay!

Down on the first floor is Casa Bambora's bar with a shared fully equipped kitchen and BBQ area, this is where the guests enjoy spending the majority of their time socializing and cooking up the catch of the day, or just relaxing to the soothing sound of the waterfall at the pool which is surrounded by a tropical garden with plenty of hammocks and chairs to lounge around in.

Guests at Casa Bambora also have access to onsite parking and myself and staff here at Casa Bambora will try to make you feel right at home and are happy to give you advice about anything you need to know about the area, best restaurants, tours and places to visit.

Having bought the property in 1992, I was able to have the pick of the best view lots in Tamarindo with the easiest and closest walk to town. Casa Bambora is just high enough to see over the treetops and is one of the only lots in Tamarindo with unobstructed views of the San Francisco Estuary in the Las Baulas National Park as well as spectacular ocean views that span Playa Langosta, Tamarindo and Playa Grande.

Adventures in Tamarindo

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bambora. The views from our wrap around balcony and especially the rooftop were amazing. It was so great to be able to sit on the roof at sunrise and listen to the monkeys and birds, as well as watching sunsets and the night sky. The pool was perfect for a dip and cocktail after a day at the beach. Joey was a great host, and having him onsite was really nice. The walk up and down the hill to town was a little challenging at times, but being so close to the center of everything once you got down the hill was perfect. Our group of gals in our 60's managed it just fine. A couple nights when we dressed for dinner we took an Uber back, which was a quick, easy and inexpensive way to go. Overall it was a fabulous stay!

Great Place to stay in Tamarindo

We loved our stay with Joey at Casa Bambora. It is a beautiful home on one of the tallest spots in the Tamarindo area. There are amazing views from the rooftop patio. Very kind guests and hosts with great common area kitchen and pool. Our room had everything we needed. We loved our time there!

I finally made it to Costa Rica in 1992 and found Tamarindo. It was everything I was looking for and more. Twenty five years later I'm still here and still loving it.

The best thing about Casa Bambora Is it's location on a quiet hilltop just 5 minutes walk from the center of town in Tamarindo, where the ocean views are spectacular and there is always a refreshing breeze and probably the best thing is that it is just far enough from the Tamarindo nightlife that you can get a good night sleep without the sound of the music coming from the night clubs.

Joey, the owner who has lived in Tamarindo for 25 years and lives onsite is very knowledgeable about the area and is available and happy to give advice on restaurants, activities and any other questions you might have about the area.
