Overall, our stay was good. We stayed on a cold and damp Easter weekend (arrived April 3rd and left April 6th) so I wanted to start a fire in the fireplace, but notice the fireplace was filled with ashes and had to remove those ashes before starting our fire. The fireplace had a glass door on the front of it, but the glass was severely blacked from many uses and once the door was closed, you could not see the fire. I tried to clean the black soot of the glass, but it would not come off. The owner does provide firewood, but it is very old and rotten. The owner does have good firewood but that is locked up for emergency use, in case they have a power outage and the wood is needed for heat. Other than the fireplace, the rest of the home was clean when we arrived.I love to cook, so we ate in for most of our meals. I would suggest to the owners to update their cookware, the cooking pans are old and handles are cracked. The master bedroom is very comfortable with a large bed, TV and fireplace. This home is located in a beautiful area...peaceful and quiet. Was it worth the 900 we spent for 3 nights...maybe not.
We wanted to celebrate our anniversary near a lake in the mountains. The small lake on the property and the nearby mountains were exactly what we were looking for.
The home and the property are just lovely! We very much enjoyed the deck, the fire pit and fishing in the pond. My dog especially enjoyed playing in the creek! The house was clean and comfortable with nice decor. Close to World's End for hiking trails. We would definitely consider staying here again!
The lodge was very clean and well equipped. Property is located with 2 other small houses near by-with a huge pond on one side and a beautiful creek on the other .
Had a great time. Would recommend this retreat for reconnecting with your significant other.

Dead mice in closet and I have videos of squirrels in traps and squirrels inside the house running down the steps I opened the door and it went out. The other one was caught in a mouse trap. They are flying squirrels of all things if you want to see the video let me know. She complained and wanted a cleaning fee she’s nuts the place was cleaner when I left and I took pictures
It was great seen lots of animals, deer, squirrels, turkey buzzards, crane, did a lot of fishing, sunny, and brass. Saw the turtles, frogs, dragon fly. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. At night the fire pit and the stream out back was awsome. The deck for breakfast or supper was great. Thank you for the clean safe place, for us and our puppy's
this is a wonderful place to stay we try to stay here 2 to 3 times a year this is the only place we will stay at when we come to Dushore Pa. to ride our 4 wheelers

This house was amazing! The setting is stunningly beautiful. The house is wonderfully clean, charmingly decorated, and the beds are really comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is your place!
Quiet, peaceful, and one of, if not the cleanest places we've rented. Very convenient for everything we wanted to do throughout Sullivan County and surrounding area.
Great place to relax and enjoy the quite outdoors. Friendly small town and many opportunities to experience, such as the near-by State Parks and feeding the Alpacas.
