Wonderful Bigfork Stay!

We had a great time at the lakefront house! The house is located just a few minutes from the downtown area and about 45 minutes from Glacier. Great home for outdoor fun (we swam off the dock, kayaked, paddle boarded, and fished) and the home is well-stocked with essentials to cook for a large family. Thanks for a fun stay!

Immaculate! This house is so well stocked, which is huge when traveling. They didn’t skimp on utensils, pans, etc. They have it all! The house is comfortable, gorgeous, cozy, quiet, homey. One of the best I’ve stayed in!

Perfect Lake House by Big Fork

This place was perfect for our family vacation! Our group included young children and grandparents; and the location, layout, and amenities were ideal for all. The wonderful view, large deck, great dock, and the lake’s sandy bottom in this area made the outdoor space just as enjoyable as the interior. We also liked being so close to Bigfork and the easy access to cute restaurants and shops. We had a great time!

I was born here in western Montana. Married a Sherpa girl from Mount Everest Nepal and raised two great kids. I cofounded Everest Designs in 2001 and now love to travel around in search of great people to share time together getting to know the area.

Why they chose this property

This view of the lake from the living room is absolutely the best spot on the lake. From this viewpoint the lake looks like a huge bay in Alaska. The home is built in 1994 and updated in 2022 with a rustic modern lake cabin vibe. This location on the lake stays sunny to nearly 10pm June and most of August. The dock sits on the only sandy flat bottom area of the lake...meaning your able to stand up and walk, swim paddle board without tiring out or feeling anxious because of cold deep water---Kids go Insane because it's so much fun to play in this part of the lake. Lots of folks going by on stand up paddle boards kyaks boats make a fun day of it for sure.. Park your boat on the lake during the day and in the evening your welcome to park the boat in the safety of the lagoon to the rear of the property. The long summer days ensure everyone gets to go off hiking swimming golfing mountain biking jet skiing huckleberry picking fishing antiquing and on and on.....long fun days with dinner on the deck. the Bavarian village of Bigfork is as charming as they come with fine dining art galleries Live theatre street fairs and festivals throughout the summer.

What makes this property unique

Bigfork is 45 minutes to Glacier Park, rafting on the north fork of the flathead river sits just outside the park. 25 minutes to Jewel basin wilderness area with incredible alpine views of flathead lake and the amazing Swan Mountain range. Bigfork is home to Eagle Bend a championship 27-hole golf course. The town is a tourist village with great shops art galleries fine dining and fun nightlife.
