Located near a LOT of sites. Food sites, tourist sites and the neighborhood seems nice and safe. While there were some minor issues Anthony was great to deal with, he was actually proactive on the issues and when or if I go back to DC I plan on checking this out again if it's available.
Mr Anthony is the best host ! I was in DC for a job and my experience was great ! We had no issues with communicating and the place is very comfortable and welcoming. Location is great as well as its close to local restaurants , grocery store and metro rail station.

Close to Metro
Location was close to the Metro station, but the rat in the backyard was startling! I had never seen one in real life before.

Okay
Pros: location, nice neighborhood, short walk to subway.
Cons: The pictures show a second bed in the living room but didn’t see that bed when we arrived in the room. The kitchen outlets keep not working, one night the stove and
Microwave were without power for a few hours. The next day the refrigerator was without power the whole night so our food went bad. Provided only one towel for two guests for one week, no hand towels. We were told change of towels located in bins outside the unit but too many bins stacked up so was too high too reach the top were they labeled “towel”. I think I got bed bugs from this house, I suspect it’s from using bed sheets they stored in plastic bins.
Location, location, location! Park your car, and don’t worry about driving anywhere else. The subway is just around the corner, and Safeway and CVS are in easy walking distance as well.
Townhome is cozy but comfortable with most everything one could need, especially if you are just using it as a place to rest and recharge as you explore all that DC and the surrounding areas have to offer. We were enchanted with all the rich historical, educational and beautiful places we explored. Our son lives nearby in a studio apt., and though he would have happily had us stay with him, we felt much more comfortable (especially with our two additional dogs) with a space of our own.
We felt safe, and we loved that the space was pet friendly and had a small backyard for late nights. As in any large city, always be aware of your surroundings. We did not enjoy the one restaurant we went to in the area, but with so many places just a hop, skip and a train ride away, we didn’t even worry about trying our luck again. :)
We enjoyed seeing young families mingling including witnessing a little girl’s first time on a bike in the kid friendly, sidewalk community.
Overall, it was a good stay, and the host was accessible and responsive. Enjoy!
