About this property
Family & dog friendly historic 4BR farmhouse near Sebago Lake w/ boat launch!
"The Farmhouse" has been in our family since it was built 235 years ago and has been home to nine generations. It has been moved 3 times during its long history and now sits on a private, wooded, hilltop lot on the edge of 50 acres right next to Sebago Lake Basin on land that has been in the family since the town's settling. The current generation took ownership in 2021 and is now lovingly investing in the Farmhouse to ensure its well-being for the next century. Make our home part of your family history. Summer-season bookings are offered from Saturday to Saturday. Discounted weekly (20%) and monthly (50%) bookings are offered from September through June. Please note that both bathrooms are located on the first floor, and that three of the four bedrooms are located upstairs. ----------- Come enjoy the call of loons off the lake as they lull you to sleep in the evening and diligent hummingbirds flirting just out of reach as you drink your morning coffee. Campfires, walking trails, wild blackberries, sandy lake beaches and a private boat launch, along with numerous nearby adventures and winter-time recreation will give your family plenty to do.... unless of course you'd just like to relax on the porch and watch the deer and falling autumn leaves. -The Manchesters

Sweet little lakeside cabin with plenty of space for our party of 9. We enjoyed meals on the patio, the use of the kayaks, and proximity to the lake. Lots of great day trips to nearby beaches, hikes, and other nature-based activities, plus easy access to Portland.
My family enjoyed the week at this property. Great location and everything we needed. We enjoyed the privacy of the property, but a short walk to the lake to the watch the sunset. The owners were very responsive with any questions.
We all loved The Farmhouse. It is very comfortable and was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The kids loved running around the yard. The adults loved sitting on the porch watching them. The lake was welcoming and refreshing. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time with our daughter over Memorial Day Weekend! Very relaxing and quiet. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend quality time with family!
We have utilized VRBO for vacation stays many times. This home was by far our favorite! The owners made sure our every need was met. We had a family Christmas at the farmhouse and it was perfect. Looking forward to perhaps returning in the late summer early fall for another family gathering.
My family had a wonderful time at the farmhouse. The hosts saw to every need we could have possibly had in advance. Secuded however close to all shopping and restaurants.
Thank you to our hosts.
We loved our stay. The house has everything you can imagine. It was the nicest VRBO that we’ve stayed in in Maine. Already at the time we were here but we’re still able to enjoy the beach. I want to thank the owners for are letting us rent this place and hope to come back to it the next time we come back to town
This is our second stay at the farmhouse and it was even better than it was last year. The house is cozy and well appointed. We enjoyed being able to see the sunset Over the water. The owner was always very helpful and answered any questions that we had. It Is so peaceful and I highly recommend A stay at this farmhouse.
Our extended family (8 people) had a lovely time staying at the Manchester home. The place had many thoughtful touches - beach towels, kayaks, dog bowl, AC for hot days, cards, games and everything you can think of for the kitchen. There are a variety of comfortable places to hang out, both indoor and outside. We had plenty of room for “together time” and also space for those who wanted read quietly. We very much recommend this place for family vacations!
Our group of 5 adults and 2 children spent 4 nights at this lovely old house
It was perfect for us. Large enough to accommodate us all comfortably with space for us to gather for meals and family time, but with a layout that allowed for individuals to have quiet time in the den, on the porch, or in the garden as desired. Many thoughtful touches made this stay very easy - everything you need in the kitchen, games in the living room, and accessories for your trip to the lake beach, plus multiple large grocery stores and take-out options within a short drive. We had a delightful stay.
Our family chose to spend their family Christmas at the Manchester’s Farm for the second year in a row. The size, location and accommodations are perfect. Our children all live in the Windham area and it was easy for them to come for the day. Our grandchildren did have the opportunity to spend some alone time with Mimi and Poppi and they love the farmhouse! Thanks to the Manchester’s for the Christmas tree. It added the perfect touch to our stay.
The farmhouse was amazing. It was clean and well organized. Everything we needed was on hand. The grocery stores were close by and easy to get to. The yard is beautiful. It’s a nice walk to the lake. Thanks for sharing your historical home!
Place was as described and almost perfect for our needs. The proximity to the lake was great and the dogs had a great time playing in the water. The house was well equipped and came thru in stars when we executed our lobster boil and roll making. Beds were comfy and bedrooms were spread out enough in this somewhat creaky house to keep everyone sleeping soundly. Bathrooms only on the first floor was a minor inconvenience
The property is quaint, cozy, and just as described. The house was very clean and adorably decorated. This was the best stocked house we've ever stayed in! The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were all supplied with everything you would need. There were plenty of things to do. The beach is clean, and the water was very clear. We attended a Seadog baseball game, heard a bluegrass band at Lenny's, shopped the day away in Freeport, enjoyed beautiful downtown Portland, and spent a wonderful week of quiet relaxation. The Manchesters are delightful to deal with.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. We spent a week in Maine visiting family and the house was big enough for 8 of us (5 adults, 2 teens, 1 toddler) and was well equipped for all of our needs. We were especially grateful for all of the cooking utensils and bowls in the kitchen, the coffee that was there upon arrival as a gift from the hosts, the lobster pot and full set of butter dishes (we cooked about 10 lobsters for my mother-in-law’s milestone birthday), the comfortable beds and air conditioning to accommodate the summer heat, and the beautiful views from the beach over Sebago Lake. Finally, you can’t beat a five minute drive to multiple grocery stores and a Walmart. With all the family around we needed groceries and last minute things we’d forgotten, so the location was truly excellent. The hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. It’s amazing that they are working to preserve the farmhouse for future generations.Having space outside to play, grill out, and make s’mores over a campfire with the cousins was especially lovely. Plenty of parking for our family to come visit. We’d love to stay here again in the future!
The property is lovely and charming. Very roomy with ample space to lounge inside and outside. The large front lawn was great for playing ball with the kids and our energetic dog. The outdoor dining set was perfect for the dinners that we cooked on the terrific grill. The house was clean and well-stocked. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking (even a lobster pot and special utensils and melted butter cups). The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels. With young kids, we loved that the property is just a short walk (a short block) from two small beaches on Sebago Lake. They were perfect. Either we had the beach to ourselves or there were a few other people from the neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly. The house, while in a private, semi-secluded area is very near to shopping (food stores, etc.). I'd highly recommend this property.
