About this property
Europapark C7 2-4p - Two Bedroom Chalet, Sleeps 4
Located in the Altenaud valley and surrounded by the Teutoburg Forest, Eggegebirge mountains, and Sauerland, this spacious park offers a serene getaway. Built on a southern slope, it is approximately 250 km from Arnhem and consists of 52 stone bungalows. The park’s layout, space, and lush vegetation ensure ample privacy.
Parking is free with two parking lots available, and your holiday home is conveniently located just 25 meters from the parking area. The central building of the park, fully renovated in autumn 2005, houses the reception and a laundry facility. Guests can enjoy affordable meals at the on-site cafe restaurant.
Recreational facilities include a soccer and volleyball field, a mini-golf course, and a separate playground for children. Just 2 km away in the village of Atteln, there is a unique heated, chlorine-free natural pool with separate deep and shallow ends, as well as a children’s pool. Although the park itself does not have a pool, the natural pool is easily accessible via a short route.
The layout includes a hall, a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, and a cozy living room with a sitting area, dining area, radio with CD player, and a color TV with DVD player. Most of the reception is via a satellite dish, offering a variety of channels, including regional ones.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator with freezer, 4-burner gas stove, combination microwave, dishwasher, extractor hood, kettle, coffeemaker, and a complete inventory of kitchen essentials. The house features central heating.
There are two bedrooms: the first bedroom has a double box-spring bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds (90 x 200 cm). All beds come with single-person mattresses and duvets, with plenty of duvets available.
The south-facing terrace offers a splendid view over the Altenau valley and the village of Husen, furnished with adjustable garden chairs and ample cushions. The terrace is completely secluded by trees and shrubs, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature.
In summary, this is a pleasantly furnished holiday home with a fantastic view!
The countryside of Husen contains natural forests and lots of fresh air! Maps of the area are available at the reception desk. Various walks can be started right from the park. In the built-up environment there are additional cycling paths. In Buren - (12km away) there is a Jesuit church with magnificent wall and ceiling paintings from the Italian school. The church, with its baroque facade, dates back to the first half of the 18th century (1750). Maria Vermahlung on the ceiling is a perspective perfection! Arolsen - (35km away) - has the baroque "Versailles of Hesse" (Schloss Arolsen), many avenues and one of the most beautiful city scapes in Germany. The Residenzschloss, where Queen Emma was raised, is a good example. It is a great place to visit. The Wewelsburg - (12km) - is a Renaissance palace. It has 3 towers in a perfectly equal triangular shape. Very special. The Wewelsburg was used as Nazi stronghold during the war ('40-'45). Himmler, leader of the SS, used it as the final headquarters for his generals. Fort Fun - (58km) - is a magnificent western / adventure park. More than 40 spectacular rides in a large area in the Sauerland. Young and old can enjoy a great day. Approximately 55 kilometers south of Husen there are the higher slopes of the famous ski resorts of Germany: Winterberg and Willingen. In short, all the ingredients are present, including a fantastic rural environment, for a wonderful holiday for both young & old.
