About this property

The Bohemian Farmhouse

This large and beautifully restored farmhouse is located on the "Heights", one of the cleanest areas of the Czech Republic, near the city of Havlíčkův Brod. Situated on the edge of a village at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. There is no industry in the area, so the air is clean and nature is pristine. You have one third of the building at your disposal. The owner lives in a separate part. You have your own entrance and private garden of 750 m2 with fruit trees and shrubs, a gazebo, hammock, furnished terrace with a parasol, and a fireplace offering the possibility to grill. The children will quickly feel at ease here thanks to the sandpit, swings, outdoor toys and private garden chair. You can also use a set up swimming pool (diameter 3.66 m). Ideal for a bit of cooling during the hot summer days. In the garden there are many sun or shade options. There are parking spaces in an enclosed area of the garden. From the house and garden you have a beautiful view of the ever changing colorful valley. Directly from the house you can take splendid walks on official paths or freely in the woods and valleys, which is fortunately still allowed in the Czech Republic. There are plenty of good cycling routes among the hilly landscape. Fishing for carp is allowed. If you want to fish in the public lakes and rivers, you need a fishing license. There is plenty of swimming opportunities in the nearby lakes or swimming pools. The environment is not only has a beautiful nature but there are also many historical attractions to see. An active or passive holiday: it's all possible here!

This house has very cozy rooms with wooden beams and authentic stone walls. Thanks to the thick walls, the house stays cool in summer. The ground floor (65 m2) has a large, bright room with an open kitchen and separate bathroom. The room has two doors and 3 windows overlooking the garden. Around the hearth there are two leather sofas and an easy chair, an audio set, TV, DVD player and VCR. Through one of the doors you access the garden. The open kitchen is equipped with 3 electric hobs, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. The dining area with wicker chairs is spacious and cozy and offers a beautiful view of the valley. The bathroom is 6 m2 and has a large shower, sink, toilet and linen cupboard. An iron and ironing board are available for a small fee, as is a washing machine. On the first floor (60 m2) there are two large bedrooms. In the first bedroom you'll find a large double bed, a single bed, two wardrobes and a chair. In the second bedroom there is a normal-size double bed, a single bed, a wardrobe and a chair. Again plenty of light, space and a beautiful view. For relaxation there are items such as board games. The house has WiFi Internet. A baby carriage and a baby chair are available. The house is centrally heated.

In the vicinity you can take splendid walks or go cycling. There are many possible routes. Would you like to swim and / or have a picnic? There are several swimming pools and lakes in the area. For "Kiten" (a higher form of kiting) there are also possibilities. Would you prefer cultural excursions, such as visiting museums, castles and beautiful churches? Everything can be found in the vicinity, such as in Havlíčkův Brod, Jihlava, Humpolec, Pelhrimov, Příbyslav, Žďár nad Sázavou (with the Church of Jan Nepomuk, on UNESCO's World Heritage list), Kámen and Lipnice nad Sázavou home to one of the largest castles in the Czech Republic, where the author of the book "The Good Soldier Svejk" lived. In Havlíčkův Brod there is a covered outdoor swimming pool, bowling and horseback riding along with numerous restaurants and entertainment options. Or what about visiting the historic village of "Veselý Kopec" or Western Town "Siklův Mlýn", a "must" for the children. Because of its central location in the country, it is quite possible to make day trips from here to the beautiful capital of Prague to the west (135 km), or the second city of the country, Brno, to the east (118 km). The cradle of Budweiser beer, České Budějovice, is to the south (139 km) and the Giant Mountains lie to the north (134 km).

This large and beautifully restored farmhouse is located on the "Heights", on one of the cleanest areas of the Czech Republic, near the city of Havlíčkův Brod. Situated on the edge of a village, at an altitude of 600 meters, high enough to enjoy cross-country skiing. Although this is not a distinct ski area, 20 km away there are two ski resorts. There is no industry in the area, so you have plenty of clean air and pristine nature. You have one third of the building at your disposal. The owner lives in a separate part. You have your own entrance and private garden of 750 m2 with fruit trees and shrubs, a garden shed, furnished terrace and a fireplace for those beautiful spring and autumn days. The children will quickly feel at ease here with so much space to play in the snow. There are parking spaces on an enclosed area of the garden. Between November 1 and April 15 it is strongly recommended that you have winter tires and even snow chains. From the house and garden you have a beautiful view of the ever changing colorful valley. Directly from the house you can take splendid walks, or go cross-country skiing or hiking in the woods and valleys, which is fortunately still allowed in the Czech Republic.
