We LOVE our stay. The location is amazing, the patio/pool with the backdrop of the river was phenomenal. The basement was a nice hidden surprise to allow us to spread out and gave our kids a nice movie night. House was nicely stocked with so many essentials making it very inviting. We truly want to come back.
This property is everything you need for a perfect group stay. Fantastic views of the river/vineyard. We mostly spent our time outdoors by the pool and fire pit but the house was just as amazing. Will absolutely be back and recommending to all!
The view is amazing. The pool is large and very enjoyable (diving board is a bonus). The house has plenty of space and communication with the host was great.
What a beautiful home! Perfect getaway location for friends and family. House had everything you could imagine and the holiday decor added to the charm. The views of the river were amazing. The pool and patio area looked incredible. Would highly recommend!
The home was clean, matched the description given, warm and inviting. The views of the river were serene and peaceful as was the fireplace inside. I will definitely inquire to stay at my next visit to the area. The hosts were responsive and helpful.
Great property. Beautiful setting overlooking the Ohio River. Amazing sunsets.
And the trains passing outside the bedroom windows never bothered us!
Family all voted to come again sometime.

Thank you Susan! I am so glad your family had a memorable time. Thank you for taking great care of the home and we hope to see you back next year.
Our group included 8 adults all over 70 years of age. Although home was lovely, stairs leading up to entrance were challenging for us. Our group met as a reunion of brothers coming from various states. We enjoyed the restaurants available in nearby Portsmouth,OH.
Very nice, well equipped rental with the most amazing view of the river and loads of outdoor seating
what we liked most was the ample dining table and kitchen because we love to cook for ourselves. The fire pit was a big hit for the chilly nights and as mentioned loads of seating on the concrete deck. also, it was nice to have a good number of bathrooms. Some suggestions for future guests comfort: directions on TV tuning; Handrails leading up to the door from the parking area and more lighting on outdoor steps. One or two friends said a small bar of soap in each bath would be appreciated
Some items needed attention, especially the front deck having very soft wood and some steep step-ups. The bathrooms need some attention. There were no hair dryers in the main house, but the owner let us know there was one in the guest house. Even though the train was very close to the house it didn't really bother us as we had brought fans for white noise. Would love to come back in warm weather to enjoy the pool and outdoor space.
This was a perfect home for all of us to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. My parents, brother and his family live in southern Ohio and my family is in central Ohio so being in between was nice for all of us. Our group ranged from 1 - 80 and everyone was very impressed with the layout of the home - each bedroom had private bathrooms! We all arrived Friday right at check in and was able to enjoy the pool that evening and all day Saturday. We also used all the amenities - hot tub, gas grill, corn hole boards, floats - it was a little warm for a bonfire but we used the seating to enjoy the wonderful view of the vineyard and the river - we got lucky Friday and Saturday with spectacular sunsets too!
Amy was very responsive and patient with all my questions. Thank you for sharing your home with our family - we made some great memories having the whole family together.
I'd keep it a secret (because we intend to go back) but the hosts deserve your business! From weeks before the trip to afterwards, Amy was a phenomenal host. So many places are managed by third parties, but it was clear Amy and her husband poured a lot of love into making sure people had a great time. When minor issues cropped up, they quickly took care of them. They went the extra mile and were bright spots in an already great trip. The pool: The centerpiece of the place. Everything was clean and well maintained. Plenty of pool furniture. The house: Very comfortable, even in the sweltering summer. What the photos don't always make clear is that this is/was a very old farmhouse, and some of the rooms still have some mustiness to them. It adds charm, but maybe not for everyone. The downstairs game room was an unexpected bonus — a great place for the extended family to gather. The 'yard': Again, perfect. The vineyard provided a relaxing backdrop, and a freshly mowed trail made it easy to get down to the river. There was plenty of space to wander, go birding or just lose yourself in some peace. Trains rolled through a few times a day, but were never distracting. The region: Very rural. Part of the charm, but if you're looking for cutting-edge family entertainment, this may not be your place. Portsmouth has great antique shops and some restaurants, but Columbus and Cincinnati are two hours away.A great place for families to gather. Would love to return!
