This spot is perfect for very large groups of 20-30 people or so. We appreciated the ample dining space and room for people to spread out and do their own activities. The large kitchen with two ranges and refrigerators (though one was not working at first) made cooking for 32 people relatively quick and painless. We were unable to get hot water running in any of the showers, which was quite unfortunate and many of us in the group were not able to shower. Sounds like maybe this is just an issue in the winter. Additionally, there was a cleanliness issue upon first arrival, which caused us to have to clean and sanitize the kitchen for an hour, which was less than ideal after a long drive to get up north. Overall was a great property and we would consider returning, particularly during warmer weather.
The rental was very clean and the kitchen was extremely well equipped for a rental! Thanks for guys a place to make great memories with our kids and grandkids!
The lodge was overall amazing so much to do and everyone was able to relax and enjoy our time together as a family under one roof. We did share the residence with a mouse which is to be expected this time of year but he kept his distance and we kept ours :-) my favorite was the jukebox that played the classics. Plan on making this our go to for graduation celebrations over the next few years
This lodge is fantastic for family or group trips. The lodge is stocked with everything you need. Great common areas and private rooms with bathrooms. Everything is very clean and organized. This is our favorite place to stay!
Great place for large groups! Really enjoyed the backyard and fire pit area and the house is close to many northern Michigan destination's. Would stay again!
Everything was great. Perfect accommodations for our large group of 20. We had to go fill propane tank before we could grill. But other than that the place was perfect
A great place to stay in the Indian River/Burt Lake area. Conveniently located about 25 miles from Petoskey and 30 miles from Mackinaw City. And the grandkids love the beach at the Burt Lake State Park. The Lodge is very comfortable and able to accommodate large groups. A++++++ stay.
We found the house to be accommodating, clean and great for all ages. There were plenty of bathrooms, the bedrooms were a good size, and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated having three refrigerators and two ovens for our large group. The pool table and juke box were fun additions, and the WiFi worked great, even with many people using it at the same time. I did not realize when I booked the house that bed linens, blankets and towels were not provided (as well as shampoo and body wash), so we had to scramble at the last minute to get what we needed. It would have been helpful to have that explicitly stated in the listing. But the house itself was great.
We had a group of 20 family members ranging 2 to 54 from three generations. We had plenty of room for sleep, meals and entertainment. Really enjoyed our time. Great hosts, place was clean and close enough to many tourist destinations.
We had 16 guys up for a bachelor party/ice fishing trip. We had a great time. Caught lots of fish on a few student lakes, played lots of cards and pool. Kitchen was set up for everything we needed. Even have roaster and crock pot up there
The Lodge was perfect for our group and I would highly recommend it. We had zero issues with it and will most likely stay here again next year for our annual golf trip.
We really enjoyed our stay. We had plenty of room for everyone and plenty of bathrooms for privacy. We were able to do day trips and do all the "up north" things we like. The lodge was nice and clean. Owners replied quickly to any questions.
We were able to stay for a week for a family reunion. It was perfect! Good driving distance to all the things we wanted to do (Sleeping Bear Dunes, tahqualmenon Falls, Mackinac Island, Burt Lake and more…). We had a little issue but the host was on top of it and got it taken care of so quickly. I was overly impressed. Everything was great.
We were looking for a property for our family, including grandchildren, that offered something for everyone, allowed us all to connect, and still have privacy when needed. This location did all of that. There was ample parking for everyone, privacy, and many Northern Michigan locations within 30 minutes drive. The layout of the property is awesome, and we loved the great room. Our host was extremely responsive and helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again if we had a chance to come to Northern Michigan for a family vacation again.
The place was great! Spacious and clean. Great yard space for family games and kids to play. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Only drawback was no laundry machines.
This place is amazing. The rooms lay-out work great, there are tons of bathrooms. And most importantly for the women, this place is CLEAN.
The hot water heater did a good job keeping up. The property is private, beautiful and huge. Plenty of room for whatever you want to do. We had our best family vacation at this lodge. Best of all, the host Nate, was awesome! He was so nice, and accommodating. We plan on coming here next year. Nate, Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful place.
Very enjoyable weekend at a wonderful property! They really do have everything you don’t have to bring any utensils, bathroom things, like toilet paper, paper towels, or even trash bags. They provide everything. It’s a wonderful inclusive experience.
