After a rough month for our family, a short getaway to a cabin in the mountains was just what the dr ordered! The cabin was perfect and had evrything you could possibly need.
This mountain cabin was everything we were looking for! It was relaxing, off the beaten path, in a quiet area, with plenty of room. It was in a beautiful mountain setting just far enough from Pigeon Forge and close enough to the Great Smoky Mountains that we didn't feel like we were where all the tourists were yet could get to everything. We had everything we needed at the cabin in able for us to cook a few dinners there. We will definitely return! Thank you for a smooth check-in process. The sweet ladies at check-in also gave some great suggestions of places to check out while we were there. Thanks again!!
Very nice, clean and comfortable. Cozy evenings, very quiet setting on front porch, everything we wanted to do was minutes away. There was one thing that we all agreed on was the name, it should have been called squeaky hollows.
Wonderful, lovely home!! Well-stocked with lots of extras!! The kids loved the playroom games!! Loved the spacious, comfortable living area, large gas fireplace and porches!! Only negative would be squeaky floors and upstairs mattress. Would definitely stay here again! ❤️
very nice cabin. main issues were that floors were very noisy/creeky (we've stayed in cabins before, with even more people running about and not had this much noise) and the door latches, although creative and go with the look but doors do not stay shut unless locked from the inside. perhaps modify the handles so that a lever on the outside handle so the internal lever can be raised from outside the room. if this place had a hot tub we would give 5 stars.
The star of this property is the porch and porch swing. It's a very cute cabin and comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring. Challenges at this property: They have a policy that renters clean the kitchen before they leave. While I didn't mind doing that, it appeared previous renters weren't very diligent. There were dirty oven pans in the oven when we arrived and I pulled several dirty dishes from cabinets and drawers. I just decided to wash items before using them. Other than this issue the cabin was VERY clean. The stove was a challenge to use as well. The burners do not burn evenly, producing pancakes that were barely done on one half and burnt on the other. However, I was thrilled that the kitchen was equipped with a crockpot! That was nice.
Know that the wood floors are extremely noisy. If anyone is up and about its heard throughout the cabin. Lastly, the position of the living room tv is awkward and sends the volume up into the loft area. I think the owners could solve this by putting a sound bar in below, to keep it directed to the living room couches.
I see these issues as relatively minor, but they were inconvenient. Overall this cabin is adorable, clean and comfy.
Our family really enjoyed this cabin. It was private and away from all the crowds of Pigeon Forge but not too far away in case you wanted to do something there. Everything was clean and labeled which is always nice. Kitchen was well stocked. Fire pit was very nice. It was pretty easy to get to as well. Would definitely recommend!
