Experience a piece of history by staying in the home that gold miner, Mel Davis, built in the 1930's. The cedar-sided lodge is located 3 mi. off I-5 in the beautiful Cascade mountains! Surrounded by towering fir trees, immerse in a peaceful, quiet environment. Unwind in a country lodge atmosphere. Read a book while sipping hot chocolate by the fireplace. Take a relaxing walk on nearby trails or bike along the scenic country road while breathing in the fresh, mountain air. Drive up to the abandoned, mining town of Golden a 1/4 mile away. Plan an exhilarating rafting trip down the Rogue River or shop & eat out in nearby Grants Pass. Bask in the plentiful sunshine of southern Oregon! View the vivid stars at night that don't compete with light pollution!

Rustic heavenly escape at Wolf Creek

The Historic Golden Lodge was so warm and welcoming! The owners, Stephanie and Tim were not only friendly, they helped us deal with a car issue by giving us the support we needed that made the situation workable. We were so thankful! They even provided us with waffle mix and maker to make waffles in the morning. The lodge is was decorated perfectly for a rustic setting. The kitchenette had what we needed to prepare our meals. And the living area and huge fireplace were the icing on the cake! We want to come back!
