Beautiful cabin, isolated enough to see bears daily! Close enough to get to a grocery store within 20 minutes. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this cabin. Been going to TN for the past 5 years and this cabin gave us the best experience!
Cabin was clean and the views were amazing, would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in the mountains. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive as well.

Thanks for the great review Christian! We are so glad you enjoyed your time in the smokies at our cabin and we hope to see you again soon!
Home was spacious and comfortable for our family gathering of 17. Kitchen was well equipped and several large gathering areas for our group. We were 35-40 minutes from jeep tours, rafting, Dollywood and 10 minutes from Gatlinburg. Home was clean, although we think it needs a deep clean. Great views of southern Smokys from 2 large decks. Check-in-out was easy and communication with host was excellent.
Great cabin, somewhat secluded. Incredible views and plenty of bears in the area. Be sure to lock your cars and secure food/trash.

50th Anniversary Celebration
We had a magnificent time at Cabin Fever, celebrating our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Very family friendly, with a view like no other.
Large home with anazing view. 12 of us stayed here and had more than enough room. All the pot, pans and serving plates needed for serving a large group. Great house!

Location is great, for quiet getaway from the hustle & bustle..
Great looking cabin for "Log Cabin Feel", but needs some TLC.
Railings loose outside, Hot tub missing cover, Deck has a bad tilt.
Rooms OK, doors need work to close and door knobs loose.
Overall needs a good dusting and floor cleaning.

The home is spacious and has amazing views. It is in need of some maintenance and deep cleaning but has the potential to be a truly exceptional property with some TLC. Owner was responsive to immediate issues. Plenty of room for a large group.

Cabin Fever Lodge has had a very, very busy Summer. We have been completely booked every night from May 6th until now (Labor Day, 9-6-21). This has been the busiest Summer ever for Cabin Fever Lodge and we finally had the opportunity to block time on our calendar this week to provide some overdue maintenance and a deep cleaning. Rest assured, we take guest feedback very seriously. With a 4.7 average guest review score, we have and will continue to work very hard to deliver a 5-star vacation property. These past few guest reviews are unacceptable and we sincerely apologize for not having blocked time on our calendar sooner to address these deep cleaning and maintenance concerns.
New furniture (which we ordered back in June) has finally arrived and will be delivered this week along with new appliances (which have also been on back order for months). We are sanding/refinishing the floors, have new Arcade games in the game room, new chairs for the back deck and many, many other property improvements on the way. We have set very high standards for a positive guest lodging experience and have clearly not delivered on this expectation. Our lesson learned is to proactively block days during the busy Summer vacation season for maintenance/deep cleaning which we have done for next Summer and beyond. Rest assured that this feedback has been heard and actions are being taken to get Cabin Fever Lodge back up the 5-Star accommodation standards our guests expect from us.
This property was plenty large enough for our big family, but it is in need of some deep cleaning and attention. Kitchen had no sink stopper, broom, nor pot holders. Upper deck had loose parts on the railing and a few rotting boards. The TV’s had missing remotes. One of the grills had no grate. The lower level bathrooms all had very slow drains. The positives—The teens had a lot of fun with the game room, the bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. AC worked great

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re so glad to hear the cabin had plenty of space for your family and that the teens enjoyed the game room! We're also happy to know the bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the AC kept everyone cool during your stay.
We truly appreciate your honest feedback regarding the maintenance and amenities. Your notes about the missing kitchen items, deck condition, grill, and bathroom drains have been passed along to our team for immediate attention. Guest comfort and safety are a top priority for us, and we’re committed to making the necessary improvements.
Thank you again for choosing to stay with us — and for helping us grow through your thoughtful comments. We’d love the opportunity to welcome you back to the Great Smoky Mountains for an even better experience next time!
This is a beautiful cabin with fantastic views, but a 20+ minute drive to Gatlinburg or any other stores. So, take lots of food and supplies. The area is very quiet. Even though there are 7 bedrooms, some are nicer than others which is shown in the property description. The last minute notification of the exact address is not great, but we had no significant issues and would book this cabin again.
Spacious cabin in a beautiful setting. We were disappointed with the cleaning. Several areas had not been dusted for a while. Kitchen appliances are adequate, but need upgrading. A cabin this size should have more than one oven. The hot tub is very nice. We enjoyed the expansive porches and game room as well.

Stunning views from outside, cabin is beautiful inside!
Beautiful cabin inside and the views outside are amazing! Clean, well equiped, very resposive when we called (needed garbage picked up). We would stay again in a heart beat. We had 22 people staying there and we didnt feel we were on top of each other at all. Very peaceful! Lots of space. Game room was an added bonus. (Only suggestion we would have is the beds could use new mattresses) We didnt want to leave!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Cabin Fever Lodge. We take our guests feedback seriously and want everyone who stays there to have a fantastic experience. We are having brand new mattresses and box springs installed for the other beds at the property that haven't already been updated. Please do hurry back to see us on your next trip back to the Smoky Mountains.
My Family was so amazed at the mountain scenery and priceless memories it afforded us. Most people have never heard the amazing silence of nature after the small children had turned in for the night. The bear sighting was numerous and very up in your face for amazing photos. Just beware of leaving food or the odor of food in your vehicle. We had two vehicles entered into by bears but no damages were incurred. Also, the mosquitoes will eat you alive if you don’t have any insect repellent.

The house is not being taken care of and those pictures must of been taken years ago.The deck is in rough shape. The view is amazing so this is a shame we didn’t feel comfortable going out and enjoying it. It is an eye sore and also feels unsafe. In the pictures it shows gutters used to be there to direct water off the roof to beyond the deck. But now those are gone and the water just comes straight through to the deck and it’s destroying the deck. On the side of the house the gutters have trees growing in them, further destroying the deck below. There was a bad Asian beetle infestation (not lady bugs). Hundreds were in the cabin with us. Dived into our food, dead ones everywhere, and you couldn’t be upstairs at night with a light on- they would bite! The cabin is dirty in places.Master bath in the basement has no working outlets. And they were aware of it and did nothing- they took the hairdryer off the wall and put it in the other bathroom. Left the metal plate behind. There are no oven mitts or potholders- so we burned ourselves and had to go out and purchase some. Someone posted back in June that they didn’t have any and they still don’t. The furniture is really old. Dining room is esp. bad. One chair’s seat is detached from the frame. One table leans down. The fold out couches in the bedrooms were bad. One was missing a mattress completely. Door to the bunk room sags so it’s scratching up the floor when you open/close it.This cabin is not well maintained.

Lovely house, plenty of room. We had a few difficulties with the front door code which I never received from owner. Given the distance into town we had planned to stay at the house to cook our meals. The stove was in sad shape. Never seemed to make it to desired temps. Pans used for baking in stove drawers were dirty.

Great views and nice cabin but needs some care.
Our family enjoyed our stay in the mountains but things could have been better. Furniture needs updating. It’s getting a little old. Dining area is cramped for a large group due to oversized tables and chairs. Two hair dryers were not working and some of the games in the game room were broken. Beds were a little.noisey. In general cabin was ok but needs maintenance.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. In March, we purchased new furniture for the family room. We replaced several mattress/box springs recently and did add a new table to the dining area since cabin fever lodge primarily hosts large family gatherings. Sorry you felt cramped but we do want the dining area to be able to seat a large party. One of our arcade games was not working properly and we have a repair order underway. Finally, we do ask our guest to bring their own personal toiletries and hair dryers. We take our guests feedback seriously and will be very attentive to these issues..
We stayed here for our wedding weekend. 5 families stayed here comfortably! Each bedroom had a bathroom. The lower level had a pool table, poker table, large connect four game, arcade games and the hot tub. The views from the balconies were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Spouses and kids made sure they got pics together with their families with the beautiful Mountain View’s in the background. Having amazing views of the mountains and being in close proximity to Gatlinburg (20mins) is ALWAYS A MUST, and this place is it!!!! I will definitely look forward to coming back here!
Great weekend, lots of FUN! We even had a bear get in the back of our car and still the remaining cupcakes from our wedding! I left the back open to pack up to leave and there he was, getting out of the car with the cupcakes! Never a dull moment! No damage to the car, just my heart because I wanted more cupcakes!

Thank you for sharing such a fun and memorable experience! We're so happy that The Buckhorn Lodge worked perfectly for your wedding weekend and that you were able to create so many great memories. The views and the amenities really do make it a special spot, and it sounds like you had quite an adventure with that bear! We’d love to welcome you back anytime. Congrats again on your wedding, and we look forward to hosting you for another fun stay in the future!
The overall stay was great. Location what wasn’t we expected because we had to drive up the mountain but that wasn’t a problem because it comes with booking the cabins. We had some bedding and mattress protectors that need to be replaced in some of the rooms. They were stained really bad. There’s some mold growing on the ceiling in the upstairs bathrooms and it was pretty dusty throughout the cabin. As a cleaning company owner myself it was clear that the cleaning crew is not as thorough as they should be when doing a turnover for the next guest. Even though we had these few issues we would book again. The location of the cabin was in a beautiful spot to view the gorgeous mountains. The check in process was also smooth and seamless. We had no issues there. The owners of the cabin also text throughout the stay to make sure that the stay was pleasant.
The cabin was spacious and had amenities that please adults and teens. But the view was spectacular. It’s a little difficult to get to especially if it snows, but the snow happened after we got there and was beautiful against the backdrop of the mountain.
