This studio apartment was perfect! My daughter and I stayed five days exploring New Jersey and NYC! Easy train access and walking distance to downtown Montclair! Our host was responsive and helpful - everything is as described in the listing.

Weekend visiting son

This unit was clean and well kept in a nice neighborhood within a short driving distance of downtown Montclair and was perfect for our trip. The location was quiet and was next door to a bagel shop. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great place in Montclair

Mainly just slept in this basement kitchenette. Place was clean and as advertised. Walked into town for a lovely breakfast. Also bagel place next door.

I wasn't able to book this property for my entire stay, but switched from my hotel as soon as it was available. I stayed there last year and really enjoyed the area and convenience of its location and the privacy it offers. Hoping to book it again soon!

This home has a horrendous off-gassing smell that made me sick. The property was simple and clean, but the smell was strong and gave me a terrible headache. I had an air purifier going and window in bathroom (very small due to basement apt) open. It didn’t help. It smelled like bad plastic flooring. I communicated with the manager, he said he would come check. He said he smelled nothing. Someone was also burning incense in the house. Maybe to cover a smell? And they have air purifiers so they possibly have heard this complaint before. I was forced to leave after 3 days (of an 8 day stay). I had to find and pay for another place to stay. I asked for a refund. The manager said he would ask for a refund for me. He said he would try. But after my multiple messages I still have no refund. He said I had to cancel the stay to get a refund but of course there is no way to do that once the stay begins.Vrbo customer service called the manager and requested that they provide a refund, but they cannot do it directly because of the contract that they have with the owners.It is disappointing that they acted like they were going to give me a refund, and acted like they were trying to fix the situation, when they haven’t done so. Being responsive is nice, but if it doesn’t fix anything, it’s not helpful.

Clean, homey, and comfortable studio in great location.

Clean, comfortable, homey studio in a great location. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Host is welcoming and very accommodating. Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs. The bed is comfortable, and the clean bathroom is excellent. Highly recommend this property and we will return for another incredible stay!

Perfect for us

Perfect location for our needs, walking distance for bagels, pizza and burgers. Owner greeted us upon arrival and asked if anything was needed. Property is well lite, both outside and inside (motion activated). Studio is clean and as pictured. Would stay again.

House Rules: Respect our towels and sheets? Need to be clear. Does this mean they are for the owner since this is a rental in their house; because I didn’t get to use any. I don’t know both were used by the same person or what. Leave a towel and wash cloth in the room instead. Thank you.

Great place!

We were visiting family In Montclair and to stay with them would be tight. This nice little place was nearby and gave us a space of our own to rest. It was just what we needed.

Wonderful little spot

The space was simple, clean and well furnished. The shower was glorious after spending ten hours at a music festival. The mattress was like sleeping on a cloud. The hosts were super flexible and accommodating. You won’t find a more affordable or nicer spot.

Nice spot in Montclair

You can tell the owner put some thought and care into the property. Good instructions on accessing stuff in the property - helpful signage where needed, etc. Great place as a homebase to explore the town or northern NJ area. Tierney's - a local Irish pub of historic note is a 2 minute walk. Enzo's pizza down the street has a good pie. I hope to stay there on future trips.

It was a wonderful stay. We especially appreciated how clean the apartment was kept. The walkway on the entrance side was professionally done to ensure safe footing. The bagel shop was a nice plus.

Beautiful stay in montclair

The property was as described ... plenty of room , very clean and had all the amenties we needed. Received thorough checkin instructions. Conviently located next to grocery stores and food places and a lovely welcoming irish bar with great food. Mounckaur was beautiful with lovely friendly people

I had a great stay very clean, quiet, and enjoyable. Great location for me visiting the Cherry Blossom Festival. One note for anyone with mobility issues such as myself avoid the steps down from the parking lot. Go around the front of the house it is all flat to get to the entrance. Ther

Reunion getaway
