About the host
Hosted by Kim Cinquini

I have lived in Riggins for 28 years, transplanting from another place and time. I fell in love with Riggins and made this my home while raising 4 children, all grown and gone now, with children of their own. We all love any time on rivertime! Anything on the Salmon and Snake Rivers brings us joy like rafting, jetboating, just beach time. Rock hunting is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy spending time in the mountains, hiking with my dogs and observing wildlife. It is nice to have Brundage Mountain so close so that I can snow ski in the winter too.
I also co-own and operate a local restaurant called River Rock Cafe at the south end of town, in business for 28 years! We prepare and serve many homemade delicious items, including biscuits and gravy, French Toast, omelets, burgers, French Dips, Ruebens, specialty salads, pizza and homemade soups.

Why they chose this property
This property is my home for the past 23 years. Though on Main Street, it is quiet and safe with very easy access to anywhere in town, by car or foot. I love living across the street from The City park where I take my dogs daily. I spent about 20 years remodeling my home, situated in front of The Shop and called The Main Street House, also on the vacation rental market. Originally built in 1945, it is a 5 bedroom, 4 bath gorgeous dwelling that sleeps 10. It has a huge gourmet kitchen, deck and 2 fenced in yards. It can be rented separately, or in conjunction with The Shop. Check it out!
What makes this property unique
In the wake of Covid, we did not know what was going to happen to our successful restaurant, so when things turned around and all was well, I decided to convert my shop, which started as a pole barn, into this beautiful vacation rental, essentially slicing it in half in both directions.
The result is a very comfortable, stylish place for 12! If you are interested in construction, pay attention to the ceilings and you will notice the wrapped trusses, modified to fit each space perfectly. Eventually, I will finish the downstairs space which will accommodate 4, allowing the entire property to accommodate 26! It has taken 3 years to complete with lots of ups and downs, but I am very happy with the result and would live in The Shop just as comfortably as in my home. In fact, I will likely stay here on occasion when my house is rented. When both spaces are rented, I stay in my motor home at the back of the property. I am very proud of this 3 year project and am very happy to share it with vacationers from everywhere!
