About this property

Apartment in a listed mill on the Swabian Alb

Our apartments in the idyllic village of Kirchen (Ehingen / Danube) are located on the edge of the biosphere reserve Swabian Alb. Whether you are hiking, climbing, exploring caves, canoeing, cycling or mountain biking, flying (kite, paraglider, gliding), swimming, experiencing nature and culture, or simply wanting to unwind, the Swabian Alb will inspire you.

The Upper Mill was built in 1689 and belonged to the nearby monastery Zwiefalten. Until before the Second World War it was used as a flour mill, then as agriculture. The mill wheel was in the 20. Century replaced by a turbine, the Mühlbach flows in the meantime underground through the property.
The entire estate of the building and barn is a listed building, and the house was completely renovated in the 1990s and 2010s. With its massive walls, the building creates the ambience of a country castle.
In the former mill hall, a false ceiling was moved and created on two Stochwerken living room. Here are the apartments today. The former miller's flat is inhabited by ourselves.

The apartment "Mühlbach" has about 65sqm on a large, bright living / dining area with open kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet and is suitable for two people.
The apartment is on the ground floor.
The adjoining terrace is accessible directly from the living / dining area and is fenced off to our private garden.

On our property are dogs and bees, allergy sufferers should take this into account.

The apartment is rented exclusively as holiday apartments, not as an apartment or long-term rental

Schöne Ferienwohnung in landschaftlich schöner Umgebung
Gemütliche Ferienwohnung mit Allem was man braucht. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Geschirr ausreichend vorhanden. Es gab Spültabs für die Maschine. Schöne neue, beschichtete Töpfe und Pfannen. Sehr schön ruhige Lage. Fliegenfenster gegen die Mücken wären noch eine schöne Ergänzung-man könnte sie vielleicht auch innen anbringen um dem denkmalgeschützen Außenanblick nicht zu verändern.

Angenehme Kuhle bei der großen Hitze!
Genau was wir wollten. Hell, geräumig, geschmackvolles, unkompliziertes Dekor. Gute Möglichkeiten für das Wandern direkt vom Dorf oder nicht zu weit mit dem Auto. Ulm und Blaubeuren sind einen Besuch wert.

Prima für Kurzurlaub
Sehr netter Vermieter, sauberer und liebevoll gepflegter Denkmalschutzbau, Räume und Einrichtung völlig ok, Terassenausgang nicht unbedingt gut für große Menschen :), WLAN funktionierte sehr gut, konnte prima online arbeiten. Die Terrassennutzung wird durch ein 24 h Wasserrauschen der direkt neben der Terrasse laufenden Verrohrung stark gemindert. Für Kurzaufenthalte ein sehr gutes Quartier, meinen Sommerurlaub würde ich hier wegen der Terrasse nicht verbringen wollen.
