Visit the town of Tvedestrand, which offers you a pedestrian zone with cozy stores, cafes, restaurants and a shopping center. In the municipality of Tvedestrand there are many regattas and boat competitions with rowing boats, sailboats and racing boats throughout the year. It is not far to beautiful Gjeving, where you can find a boat rental and take the ferry to Lyngør - Northern Europe's best kept village. Near Hagefjordbrygga there is a beautiful sandy beach, ideal for warm summer days. In Nes Verk there is a golf course and a museum that offers guided tours of the Solberg mine. The zoo in Kristiansand is a good hour's drive away.
