About this property

Lakeside Log Cabin in NW Wisconsin

Come relax and enjoy the sunsets at this rustic waterfront log cabin located in Chippewa County in NW Wisconsin. Great fishing on a clear water no-wake 90 acre lake. This handmade log cabin is located on a dead end road and is within 5 minutes of the Chippewa County Forest which has many great public hiking and biking trails. Easy access to ATV trails and Snowmobile trails.

THE INSIDE: There is a large open concept living room with 2 couches and a futon and the large dining table can seat eight with 4 more stools at the kitchen island. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you would need for cooking (pots/pans/plates/glasses/cooking sheets/utensils).

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
There is a king size bed in the main bedroom and a queen size bed in the 2nd bedroom. We have futon and a pull out couch in the living room for additional sleeping areas.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES
We have a small dock, row boat, canoe and fishing poles included. We have a pontoon available for rent separately for $200 for 24 hours. There is a lakeside deck with a gas grill and a campfire area down by shore with included firewood and 4 marshmallow sticks for smores! We ask that you do not burn any treated wood or trash/plastic in the fire ring. We also have 2 bicycles in the garage for your use during your stay.

WILDLIFE: We have a few white tail deer that enjoy the woods near our cabin and a bear has also made an appearance on nearby trail cameras. The loons on the lake make the sunsets even more enjoyable.

Please note that there is a outside security camera mounted above the garage door that faces away from the cabin.

Peaceful getaway
Really enjoyed every part of this vacation! A beautiful, large cabin. Spacious for the two of us but could have comfortably hosted 8. Gorgeous scenery… quiet while we were there. The lake is so amazing, sunsets are awesome, and the stars! The place was very clean, and we were provided with everything we could think to ask for. Very responsive hosts. We hope to go back again!

Quiet relaxing weekend.
We loved this property. We were looking for a private lakeside cabin to relax for a long weekend. This was perfect. We sat on the dock or deck and watched the loons, fished, hiked, made a campfire each night and barely saw any other people. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend and plan to go back again.

A perfect cabin retreat!
My family and I stayed here for a few nights and could not have been more pleased! The hosts laid everything out perfectly at the property. Directions were clearly communicated. Everything we needed was easily accessible at the property. Living space was comfortable and well suited for a family. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. Lots of space throughout the cabin. We rented the pontoon for a day and had a great experience. (FYI It is a no-wake lake so you won’t be able to go tubing or the like, but that was fine for us). The surrounding area is beautiful and Bob Lake is an exceptionally healthy lake ecosystem (part of why it’s no-wake) so you can expect to see and hear LOTS of wildlife right from the deck of the cabin or while out on the water. Good trails to wander nearby, even a walk along the road is enjoyable. We were treated to the sounds of coyotes, owls, and loons during the nights while watching fireflies. Beautiful sunsets. Lots of windows to feel the air and hear the wildlife at night. We will definitely be back next summer and adding a night or two to our next stay. We may even book in the winter to take in what this area has to offer in the winter-woods. A spectacular spot.
