Excellent stay. Great property and only 7 minutes away from stores etc. Host was easy to get ahold of. Beautiful lake where kids could actually swim. Outstanding fishing , wish I brought stronger line. Some seriously large catfish after 6pm. AllIn all absolutely satisfied and kids had a blast. Perfect getaway!
We travel with our pet and therefore it is easier to stay at a VRBO than a hotel. The place was great, had a nice yard for the dog to play and outdoor furniture to use to enjoy the views of the river and the beautiful fall leaves.
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean and had everything we needed and Gary was great about communicating and being available when we had questions. The check in/out was super easy and we had no issues with our stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!
Me and my siblings had a wonderful time staying here. The house was very clean and had all the amenities you need, the property had everything you need from a campfire to kayaks. The view was beautiful. We will certainly be back.
It was a very quiet area with a beautiful water front view. The fishing is excellent and the owner is a very nice and informative gentleman. The hospitality is endless and this place has everything for everyone. We will be back.
VRBO misleading, they show average per night and once you book that amount goes up per night plus the fees, ended up much higher than expected, learning curve for me, attention to detail is necessary

Do NOT Stay Here
Words cannot accurately describe our experience. The property directly adjacent to this cabin is appalling. At minimum, request photos of the neighborhood BEFORE booking. We couldn't even get out of the car without a turkey harassing us. The property owner let us know he had a baseball bat just inside the cabin door to defend ourselves because this happens all the time. That was just one of hundreds of animals that are located at the property next door. (Pigs, guineas, ducks, chickens, turkeys, etc.) They constantly make noise and walk across this VRBO yard. A neighbor down the road let us know that the family who attempted to stay before us only lasted an 1 1/2 hours before they left. When I asked about a possible refund, I was told "I may consider refunding some of your stay depending on response on VRBO." I want to prevent other families from having the same experience. We save up hard-earned money for rare vacations like this, and I was so sad to spend a lot of money on a devastating stay. My guess is other people haven't left honest reviews because they wouldn't have been able to get any money back. I'll gladly forgo a refund to stop the selfishness. The filthy neighbor is selfish because he doesn't care how he's impacting the neighborhood. This property owner is also selfish by inaccurately describing the property, charging a lot of money for the stay, and withholding refunds if any negative feedback is left. The final straw was hearing a mouse in the living room wall.
Rustic and relaxing. Appointed with all the amenities we needed. Large living areas and yard. Right on the river. Use of pontoon was fantastic. Also fished off the dock. Our dog enjoyed it too!
Everything was super clean. Plenty of essentials if needed. Check in process was easy. And the host was nice and easy to communicate with. Hoping to book again for next year!!!
It was a great family vacation. Gary was very responsive with our questions. We loved the roosters and the other fowls across the street. They maximized the rual experience!
The property had everything you could need and lots of great spaces to relax. The lake was quiet when we were there and perfect for kayaking! We hope to visit again.
The place offered everything we needed. Well equipped. Plenty of space and the view of the river was great. The use of the pontoon was an added bonus for some great time on the water. Owner was very responsive. Just an overall great find for us.
