(sleeps 6) The Rookery is beautifully positioned at the edge of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve and is merely a short distance – approximately 0.4 miles – from the beach.

With convenient access right to your front door, embrace an effortless transition as you settle in and make this space your own. Unwind in the cozy living room, where you can curl up and watch your favorite shows on the smart TV with satellite/cable channels.

Explore the fully furnished kitchen, complete with coffee maker, blender, toaster, crock pot, lobster pot and all the necessary cookware and utensils to whip up delicious meals. Gather around the dining table or enjoy al fresco dining on the porch.

The primary bedroom features a cozy queen bed, a private ensuite bath, and a smart TV making it a perfect place to recharge after a day on the beach. The second bedroom also offers a comfy queen bed and a flat-screen TV, while the third bedroom has charming twin beds and its own flat-screen TV so everyone can enjoy a relaxing stay together.

Savor your morning coffee or enjoy a refreshing evening pause on the porch, where the ceiling fans and retractable blinds enhance both comfort and shade. Adjacent to the entrance, the block patio features a grill for outdoor culinary activities and includes a water sprayer, perfect for rinsing off sand following beach excursions. The surrounding sandy area offers plenty of space for children to play and explore.

Take a leisurely walk to the beach or choose the ease of convenience. Drive across and include all of your beach essentials (chairs, umbrella, towels, cooler, drinks, snacks, floats, etc.). Enjoy a stroll along the shoreline, find the perfect seashells, splash in the waves, build sandcastles, or simply relax in the ocean breeze. Before retiring for the day, a visit to the hot tub is essential to cap off the evening for ultimate relaxation.

The cottage provides free WiFi, at the fastest speed available, to help you stay connected and an in-unit washer and dryer, to enhance your overall experience.

About a 20-minute drive from Gulf Shores, The Rookery provides an ideal combination of tranquility and nature, making it a wonderful choice for families. The community boasts an array of amenities, including a large zero-entry pool where little ones wade right in with no steps to climb, a second, smaller pool, a covered gazebo, a hot tub, a tennis court, and a community grilling area equipped with picnic tables. With three public beach accesses nearby (the nearest apprx. 0.4 mi), The Rookery becomes a place of inspiration and delightful experiences.

On this stretch of beach, away from the crowds and high-rise buildings, you’ll encounter a delightful array of wildlife that makes each visit truly unique. Watch for dolphins in the distant waves, pelicans gliding in formation overhead as seagulls swoop and soar, sandpipers darting at the shoreline, egrets strolling at water’s edge, crabs scurrying about and much, much more. Your reservation includes 2 parking passes. Additional passes may be purchased.

PETS:

No pets allowed with guests. Only property owners are allowed to have pets. This is strictly enforced by The Rookery Association.

POOL:

Please follow all pool rules, and especially:
NO glass of any kind at the pool area (not even in a cooler).
For those wearing diapers, swim diapers are REQUIRED at the pool.
