A beautiful newer property located in a peaceful community, yet close to shops and a quick jaunt to the wine town of Murphys, Bear Valley Ski Resort, and Big Trees Park. The Fairway Retreat is an open, comfortable concept home, beautifully styled with the nuances of a cabin. The kitchen is something to talk about, with an extensive amount of counter and cabinet space, and updated appliances- it will meet your needs for all guests. There is a well equipped game room that is accessed outside behind the house at ground level (no stairs necessary) in the basement as an added bonus- it does tend to get cold during winter months in the game room, but still a great time when prepared.

Beautiful home for a snow getaway!

The home was perfect for two families! The kitchen and dining area was full of light and made it easy to hang out with everyone in the living room. Very clean and happy home base. All the beds and bathrooms were clean and orderly.

Misleading Listing for Gameroom

Pros: Very cute and well stocked house. Decor is nice and kitchen is spacious. Cons: Cleanliness: The sheets were not clean. Found hair and stains on 3 out of the 4 beds. They also did not smell clean, I worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years as a manager and can tell when sheets are not clean. Had to use my shirt to put over the pillowcase because it looked like there was eyelashes there, gross. Gameroom: When I booked the listing did not disclose that the game room was outside past the garage, down several steps, and a walk on a muddy/slippery path under the house with no lighting so it was very dangerous walking with my little kids in the evening. Totally dark at night and the game room had no heater, completely ice cold like 30 degrees with a musty, moldy smell with holes in the ceiling. I contacted the owner and she said that she's never had the need to disclose that nor has anyone ever complained about that and told me to take jackets and blankets because heaters are a fire hazard. How can kids enjoy the games or watch a movie like that? The main reason i booked this house is so my kids can watch a movie while I cooked dinner, but this was impossible because they could not go down to the dungeon/basement thing they call a game room. I told the owner she should put a disclosure there to warn families. Hopefully she follows through. If you want a house with a game room, deff pick another option. It's so inconvenient and not enjoyable down there.

Absolutely Beautiful

We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was well kept and beautiful. We needed a peaceful get away after the holidays and this cabin-home was more than we could have asked for. Lisa the owner was extremely helpful and communicated great with us with all questions we had and the home had everything we could have needed. The fresh snow outside made it amazing for the kids to play in the back yard. We definitely would book the cabin again in the future! Thank you again for allowing us the weekend at this retreat in the woods.

We are a family of five that have grown up loving Arnold and Bear Valley ski resort. We dreamed of having a place nearby one day. We wanted to share this home with others so that we can pass on that appreciation of all the area has to offer.

The Fairway Retreat is a newer build- where luxury needs the nuances of a cabin. We keep our home clean styled and designed classically, with a warm and inviting feeling.
