This is the second time we have stayed at this cabin, and we absolutely love it! It is very clean, cozy and provides everything you could need for a stay with the family. It is a spot we very much hate to leave and look forward to coming back to!
The cabin is the perfect place to call home for your stay. The drive in was beautiful, navigating through the neighborhood to the cabin was serene. Parking was very easy. The home has everything you need, packed full of glassware and an abundance of kitchen utensils & supplies. We brought 2 dogs with us and it was the perfect amount of space for them. There were plenty of other supplies in each room, extra blankets, heaters etc. Overall, the stay was premier, we will definitely be staying again in the future.
Very quiet, super clean, beautifully appointed property with everything 5 of us needed for a stay. Super comfortable new beds. Very responsive owners, very clear and timely communications. Extra touch with hot coco and snacks left out for kids. We would be very happy to stay at this cabin again.
The house was in a great location, not too close to neighbors…and easy to get supplies before entering the neighborhood. The house is very well-equipped/appointed. We enjoyed our stay!
Our family enjoyed this inviting and beautiful cabin. Everything was as advertised and we would highly recommend staying here. The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the equipment needed for the meals we made. Our family was able to relax and enjoy Arnold.
Communication with the owners was great and the check in and check out process was seamless.
The cabin is very beautiful, clean, and had plenty of room for our family. The views are spectacular. There were plenty of clean towels, dishes, cookware, and the sheets were very clean. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely return.
We had a wonderful stay because the home was spacious and clean in the woods. Our hosts, Cindy and Scott, were super responsive through the VRBO app and mobile texts. Their pre-visit communication and arrival welcome book is thorough and clear. The home can accommodate a large family but it was just my spouse, me and our dog. When I think about the cabin, I think of two things. It is well appointed for a cabin (the decor is modern, rustic, and local theme - so relaxing). Second, everything that you can think of is provided at the house, which is above and beyond. The kitchen is nicely stocked for chefs. But we came to getaway from the Bay Area’s urban life for some R&R in the woods. Great location to visit the snow at Spicer Sno Park and Bear Valley.
This is our second time renting this cottage and we are still just as happy this time around as we were the first time - this cottage is clean, spacious and in the perfect location - three bedrooms with all queen beds , perfect for our girls weekend - or couples .- Owners are very communicative and thoughtful (basket of goodies / snacks). The deck is perfect for a morning cup of coffee or evening cocktail - and surprisingly pretty private. It’s close to everything from shopping, wineries, restaurants and hiking. If you’re contemplating this cottage, look no further !
These Hosts were the greatest, most accommodating people! The house was very warm and comfortable with all the amenities needed for either a quick weekend or A extended weekly stay!
Conveniently located to everything you need and many day trip excursions! I would highly recommend.
We had a great stay at the chalet! The listing is accurate, and the hosts are very communicative and helpful. The cabin is close to town, but still feels like you are out in the woods because of the surrounding trees and the view of the forest from the deck. We did not travel with a dog so I can’t say how it would be with a pet- for us we appreciated that there was no dog smell or hair anywhere. The cabin is nicely decorated, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. For the hot weather, the hosts do their best to provide cooling options (portable ACs and fans) for the cabin, though it still gets hot in the afternoon when outside temps are high. It was fairly mild for most of our stay. We would recommend this cabin for a family.
We had a wonderful time! The cabin had all we needed for the two night stay! Ranging from pots and pans to make dinner to endless board games to enjoy our time together away from it all as a family. We loved the cabin and so did our doggies Rocket and Cuco! The cabin was centrally located and my daughter loved the cozy spots you had for reading! My son enjoyed your kitchen and my husband and I loved your china. We had a lovely time!
This is a comfortable cabin in the forest. The deck looks out over a wooded slope. You can hear the wind rustling the trees and the birds singing. There are other homes nearby, but they don't intrude. I returned to the city fully refreshed.
Lovely and quiet stay and perfect for a small family. We planned a snow weekend for the kids that wouldn't take us too long to get to from the bay. The location is convenient to Bear Valley and a few snow parks. Also just a few minutes to a groccery store and a few restaurants. House is FULLY stocked! Literally had everything we needed, from spices to board games. Thanks Cindy and Scott!
This is our second stay at this cabin and it was just as great as the first. Cindy is very thoughtful and accommodating to our family. We really appreciate her communication and sharing their cabin with our family. Looking forward to our next visit.
Thank you again!!
This was our first visit to Arnold (and first time using VRBO) and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Cindy's communication before, during, and after as well as her willingness to accommodate our family was incredible. The cabin was perfect for our family. There were plenty of games/toys/books for our kids. It was in a convenient location to the market and restaurants. The checkin and checkout process was seamless. Looking forward to hopefully visiting again in the future. Thank you again!
Amazing cabin for a cozy getaway! We hiked in Big Trees, wine tasted at some great tasting rooms, explored a few fun breweries and enjoyed the Dias de los Muertas festivities in downtown Murphy. So much to do up here but we just really enjoyed staying in and enjoying the amazing view from the cabin and a roaring fire going in the fireplace. The cabin had all the amenities you could ask for and we will definitely visit again!
Nice cabin in the woods with nice deck looking high into trees. Very relaxing to sip coffee in the mornings listening to the breeze through the trees. Well equipped with anything you'd need.
It's a fantastic weekend getaway spot. My wife and I stayed for her 40th birthday weekend. The cabin is updated, well-appointed (I think the beds were better than the one I have at home - so comfortable!), and very clean. The hosts were also super friendly and very prompt in their communications.
You are surrounded by trees, and yet there is a grocery store, a brewery, and several eating options within a 2 minute's drive. Although it doesn't have access to the Lakemont Pines lake, Lake Alpine is only 5 minutes away, where you can kayak, swim, and fish. There is a kayak rental place only a few minutes from the cabin and on the way to Lake Alpine. Hiking at Big Trees is just a short drive as well.
If you're looking to get away for a weekend to do nothing or get out and enjoy the many options for outdoor activities, this is the place for you. I would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cabin in beautiful Arnold.
very well appointed and Cindy & Scott were more than helpful with any questions that we had. We enjoyed the near by lakes with our two Goldens and did some boating at Alpine lake. So much fun and relaxing too!
