To provide full transparency for future guests and Vrbo: This 2-star review was posted immediately after we submitted a formal claim against this guest’s security deposit for repeated, blatant violations of our no-smoking policy (cigarette and marijuana smoke throughout the entire house). We have photos, videos, and timestamps showing the severe lingering odor upon checkout, along with the professional ozone enzyme cleaning bill we incurred. The previous guests mentioned were indeed penalized, but this guest group was the source of the smoke smell they later complained about. Regarding the other points: Driving time to Las Olas: The estimate given (15-25 min) is accurate under normal conditions and is stated clearly in the listing description and pre-booking messages. Festival traffic is unfortunately unpredictable and outside anyone’s control. Cleaning: Our cleaner follows a detailed checklist and photographs every room after cleaning. The single photo sent during the stay showed one minor spot on a fridge shelf gasket that was immediately addressed when notified. No other issues were raised until after the damage claim was filed. Water pressure: This is a 1960s home on municipal water; pressure is normal and consistent with similar homes in the neighborhood. No prior guest in 4 years has ever reported this as an issue. We always encourage guests to message us immediately if anything isn’t right—we respond quickly and would have gladly sent someone over or offered solutions. Unfortunately, none of these concerns were raised during the stay until after the smoking claim was submitted. We’ve reported this review to Vrbo as retaliatory, with all supporting documentation attached. Wishing everyone safe and enjoyable travels!

A professional deep clean and ozone treatment have been completed to eliminate any residual odors. The bathroom door has been repaired and hand towels have been added.
