Things were were fair for furnishings but the linens were very sparse & shabby. We enjoyed the kitchen & big table to gather around but the linen situation should be improved.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we really do appreciate it.
I did personally check the property after your stay, and each bathroom had 3-5 towels and 2 hand towels, so we felt confident we had stocked well for your group. If you were referring to bed linens, each bed was fully made and set up prior to your arrival.
Since your stay was for three nights, we didn’t anticipate that additional bedding would be needed, but we’re always happy to accommodate extra linens or towels upon request. We’ll take your note into consideration to make that clearer for future guests.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope you enjoyed your time at the property overall.
We had a wonderful time. It was very family friendly!

Thank you for choosing our little slice of paradise for your stay. We were happy to host you and hope to see you again next summer. Thank you and take care.
We had a very fun stay, cabin was clean and large enough for all of us (about 18 ppl) and resort beach and lake were perfect. Would definitely recommend
We really enjoyed our stay. It was awesome spending time with all of my family in one place. The house had everything that we needed. The only issue we had is that the kids couldn’t really swim because the lake was very weedy.
Misrepresentation of lot. Bedding was old and smelled of head oil and body odor. Exposed nails, screws, holes in wall, chipped paint. NOT water front property. Dirty pots/pans/cooking utensil. In a RV/park-home park. Open shower drains, dirty toilets, old towels, insufficient # towels. Insufficient parking. Missing window screens, broken blinds, stained carpet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand how frustrating it can be when a property doesn’t fully meet expectations, and I truly appreciate you bringing these concerns to my attention.
This season was a very heavy rental year, and as with any high-traffic property, some wear and tear does occur. Repairs and updates are already scheduled and in progress — but as I’m sure you can appreciate, these things take a little time to coordinate properly between guests.
Regarding your specific concerns:
Bedding & linens — These are cleaned regularly, and we are in the process of replacing and refreshing them going into the next rental season.
Cosmetic issues (paint, nails, screens, blinds, carpet) — All of these have been noted and scheduled for repair or replacement.
Cleaning concerns (pots, utensils, bathrooms) — I will be addressing this directly with our cleaning crew to ensure these items are not overlooked.
Waterfront clarification — The property is located in a water access community, which is accurately stated in the listing, though it is not directly on the water itself.
Parking and amenities — The home is in an RV/park community, which is also disclosed, and parking is limited to the designated spaces.
While we can’t control every bit of wear between stays, I do take guest feedback seriously, and improvements are being made. My goal is to make sure the home continues to improve and provide a better experience for future guests.
Thank you again for your input.
Best regards,
Jason McSherry
We found this gem when looking for accommodations for family that were coming from out of town for a funeral in Willmar. There were 4 couples and multiple young adults and children, and we all had a bed, bathroom and privacy for a great price. The large indoor open spaces and backyard firepit were great for everyone to gather, unwind, and hangout. The host was great with answering my many questions within minutes. The cabin was as listed, we had all necessities and the listing was accurate in what was available.
We were very pleased with the size and space this rental gave us. It’s not easy to find one place to hold our family. We all like to stay together. Our host was quick to respond to questions which was very helpful! Being on the beach, with a dock for a boat, added to our vacation!
We took our 5th Annual Family Vacation at this house. Our kids and grandkids say it was the best so far! We spent a lot of time on tje lake with our pontoon and tube. The bunkroom was perfect for our daughter's family! Thank you so much for letting us have so much fun together at your house!
It worked out well for an ice fishing trip. The property shows wear, but all the amenities work as they should. The bedding and the house were clean, but we found plates and utensils that had residue from the last time they were used. It sleeps a lot of people and worked for our weekend gathering.
We had family drive from different directions to this location so we could spend some time together at Christmas. It was a great place where we could gather as a whole family both at the table and in the gathering spaces. We also did some ice fishing and games on the lake. Great memories.
This home met our expectations. It has an open floor plan and offers more than enough room to spread out. The kitchen is very functional. The appliances are great and there is an extra refrigerator in the basement. The dining room table is huge and a great gathering place for meals and games. The bedrooms were good. The home could you a coat of paint as well as the carpets updated or deep cleaned. We were happy with the home and all that it has to offer. The lake was nice and we fished and caught plenty of panfish and some small walleye. The area/location is fantastic. The owner Jason was great to deal with. We would definitely rent again.
Awesome hosts! It was great! It was my husband's dads 90th birthday party and we have a very large family. Best solution was to rent a place for the weekend. Very comfortable accommodations for all 20 of us. Plenty of room for 12 kids to run around ages 1 to 15. Had an issue with the heater not working upon arrival but contacted Jason, and he immediately had a technician out! Fixed in no time. House was warm before the rest of our family showed up! We will remember this home for future family get togethers ❤️
This property has so much potential! Unfortunately, the devil is in the details. The owner texted about ten days before our stay to say the gas grill had been destroyed by previous guests. Rather than replacing the grill, he said to use the charcoal grill and to bring our own charcoal. We asked that he provide the charcoal, which he did. When we tried to use the charcoal grill, the vent was rusted shut. An hour later, we had it open, with the owner’s help. Then we tried the oven. It wouldn’t heat. With the owner’s help, we learned that to light the oven, we had to first light all four burners and then turn on the oven. That worked once. After that, the thermometer told us the temperature was 350 when it wasn’t heating at all. The carpet in the upstairs bedrooms had numerous large stains, the blinds are all badly bent and in need of replacement, the vanity in the downstairs bathroom vanity was missing a drawer front. The beach is quite nice; we spent several hours removing weeds to make it useable. The house sits about 50 feet higher than the beach. The steps are quite steep, and there is no handrail. One of the grandchildren fell and skinned his knee quite badly. We spent a half hour looking for a TV remote. I think that is a housekeeping responsibility. The dishwasher was out of rinse aid, and because of the hard water, did not clean the dishes very well. After we arrived, we learned that the landlord provided only two rolls of toilet paper per bath.
Hello my name is Jason McSherry. I am a business professional living in the metro area with my wife and two boys. We love our time at the cabin, but being very busy in the summer months we thought what better way to have a cabin but to share it with others.
Why they chose this property
We absolutely love our time at the cabin and look forward to you enjoying the beauty of the Spicer area
What makes this property unique
The cabin is very open and great for hosting large groups. There is nothing better than a day at the lake except being able to share it with friends and family.
