Old school Kirmutscheid

The listed "Old School Kirmutscheid" is located in the core area of the major conservation project Obere Ahr-Hocheifel, which protects the now-rare meadow landscape and the water system of the Upper Ahr. The secluded location on a rock spur at the edge of the forest (next to it the church from the 15th Century and the historic rectory) guarantees a beautiful view and seclusion.

As usual, the teacher's apartment is on the ground floor of the house. The other floors are currently not used, so you live alone in the house.

The apartment includes a bedroom and two chambers with single beds, the living room, kitchen, bathroom.
In the bedroom there is a double bed 160x200, in the adjoining bedroom there is a bed 100x200 and in the chamber there is a single bed 80x200. A total of four people can stay here.
The parlor is equipped with a dining area, sofa, satellite TV.
In the bathroom you will find an antique porcelain bath from the Wilhelminian era, in which the missing parts were supplemented with contemporary sanitary objects.
The kitchen offers a stove with oven, refrigerator, sink and a complete set of cookware and serving dishes, toaster, coffee machine, egg cooker and kettle.

The "teacher's apartment" has a spacious outdoor terrace, which is fenced. From there you go down a natural staircase to the river and the barbecue area.

You have to forego some of the contemporary comforts, because due to the strict protection of historic monuments, the house cannot be redesigned according to today's standards, but rather as a memorial to pass on the way of life of past generations.
The teacher's apartment is heated with an automatically functioning pellet stove.

Friends of nature and hikers as well as lovers of authentic, historical buildings will enjoy it. Signposted hiking trails lead directly past the house.
The outbuilding of the same is right next to the "old school". In this outbuilding, the schoolteacher previously practiced his actual profession, with which he had to secure his livelihood (either agriculture or handicraft).
Today it is also prepared for holiday guests and is called the dwarf school. However, it is completely separate from the "old school" in which the teacher's apartment is located.
Bookings are only possible for the current year, regardless of what the apartment calendar shows.
