We had another great stay at the log cabin on Lake Manistee. The lake checks all the boxes—quiet enough for kayaking, great swimming with a solid sandy bottom, and good fishing too. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space for everyone, especially with the large loft. One of our favorite parts was spending hours on the porch overlooking the lake, playing cards and just relaxing. Highly recommend.

This is an absolute wonderful place for a family! Beautiful lake, great swimming for kids, kayaks to use! Kitchen was stocked with most things you would need, great BBQ grill and plenty of space upstairs for the kids! Would definitely stay here again!

Truly a very nice cozy cabin. Peaceful location. Upstairs area is a great space for kids. Nice sandy lake bottom, dock, and kayaks for hours of fun in the water. Ample yard space for kids to play catch or kick around a ball. Firepit for smores in the evening. Great sunset views over the lake. Responsive and polite owners. Convenient location for various day trips to Traverse City, Torch Lake, Mackinac Island, etc. Easy drive to town for groceries. A great place to get away for a week.

Matthew and his family were great guests and would welcome them
back anytime.
We had a great time at the cabin. Not to far from Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunnes. Overall the place was clean and had the amenities we needed while we where there. Thank you!
Our family came for a long weekend for an ice fishing trip. We were able to walk right out the back door to get on the ice. The cabin was beautiful and simplistic.
Our family’s experience at this lakeside cabin was nothing short of extraordinary. From the outstanding fishing opportunities to the quiet tranquility of the lake, the abundance of watersports activities, the cozy back porch, the rustic log cabin, and the friendly neighbors, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone seeking a serene and rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Prepare to be enchanted by its beauty and leave with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

CD, we are so happy to hear you were able to relax, unwind, and make memories! That’s what our cabin is all about. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay, we hope you come again!
My husband and I made our second 2023 trip to Manistee Lake in Sept. This cabin is small, but it can accommodate lots of people with the multiple sleeping arrangements in the loft. We had a couple crappy days of weather, but we’re still able to get out fishing and enjoy the lake. The neighbors were great! Our only reservation was that the shower/tub is a very narrow, tall, claw foot configuration - made us nervous.
Property was beautiful and very clean. One thing threw us off was that I asked about the dock in the listing photo, and they said that dock was not theirs. So, we just sat on the lawn in front. On the last day when our daughter, grandson, and son-in-law came up the very sweet lady next door said the dock on the right comes with the property. I wish that someone had let us know that. We would have enjoyed it even more. With that said we would rent this cottage again and maybe rent a boat or a pontoon. Thank you!
We come from Southwest Florida every year to this area, but it was our first time on Lake Manistee. This little cabin was perfect for our family of four. It was immaculatly clean, had many beds to choose from, and extremely quiet. ( we never saw a single person while there).
The lake is beautiful and shallow, which is perfect for swimming. The 2 kayaks were fun also.
The only downside is the clawfoot tub/ shower was uncomfortable to use and not practical. And no propane is provided for the grill, and it did not make sense for us to buy a huge tank of it for only a few days. It would be helpful if propane was included.
But that would not deter us from staying here again. We really enjoyed our stay!
The property was very good for our family needs. Clean cabin, quiet, nice sandy lake bottom. It was a hot week and the lack of A/C was an inconvenience, even with the light breeze. Most everything worked fine but there were a few minor issues at the start that the property manager (PM) dealt with in fairly short order. A few things we did not mention to the PM included: gas stove which did not light regularly without a separate lighter, poor quality box fans, upstairs TV did not work (we did not really need it). Note: the Slate walk-way steps leading into the lake were washed out/broken and very unstable/unsafe. The PM said that would take care of that. There are steps to the water from the dock. The water around the dock ranges from 1 to 3/4 feet so perfect for small or children and older. Note 2: there is vertical iron post, like an anchor stem, just below the water surface beyond and to the south of the end of the dock which could seriously damage a boat. We tied a floating milk jug to it as a marker but it won't last long.
This cabin was perfect for a long weekend celebrating my parents October birthdays. The fall colors were at peak. Our days were spent driving the backroads to Petoskey, Old Mission Point Lighthouse and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The cabin was very clean and beautiful. If we weren't so tired, would have loved to have a bonfire one night. I'd definitely stay again.
Was a very relaxing vacation, just what we needed!
Nice property, we didn't lack for things to do because we just wanted to relax. Lake was great! Cabin was a blast, nice loft for kids to hang out. Overall we were very pleased and would go back.
