Great location! I’d like to call this our ‘bougie’ stay. Very clean, and comfortable! Jerson was great to work with! Very polite person who was very willing to help!
We are very pleased we found Casa Alaia. It had everything we were looking for: great location only minutes to Manuel Antonio, beautiful, safe, quiet neighborhood and above all the property is immaculate from top to main floor. We are also grateful they allow pets and their yard is large with a privacy fence- just PERFECT for our needs. The property manager was very responsive and gave us a warm welcome.
The property is great! Very safe and secure. The home has all that you will need for a short stay or longer visit. It is very close to the Marina for fishing, to downtown Quepos for many restaurants and shopping, and close to Manuel Antonio park which is just up the hills. There are several grocery stores very close we well.
It is overall a very nice place and location.
Thank you Jerson for taking such good care of us!
The property manager was available for every question we had and anything we needed! Best host EVER!
The house was as handsome as the pictures. Clean and practical layout for travelers needs. The guest bathroom shower upstairs has great water pressure. The yard and patio were excellent for our needs and worked out great traveling with our dogs!
Would definitely recommend this property!

Casa Alaia is beautiful property and much larger than it initially looks. It can truly sleep 12 very comfortably. It also has great outdoor spaces if you want to grill, have dinner or just read. I would recommend having a car for this location as it is a bit secluded. We did make it work without a car using taxis, but that can get pricey. The property manager (Jerson) is very helpful, not just for property aspects, but also for other helpful tips that will make your stay more enjoyable!
My husband, friend, and I stayed at Casa Alaia from Jan 1-8, 2025. This home was my second booking after the first one cancelled on me last minute, which is why we booked such a large home for just three people, it will easily sleep eleven or twelve. Jerson, the property manager was amazing, very friendly, helpful, and professional. The home itself is gorgeous, everything as listed except for the "hot tub" which Jerson mis-understood as the property having hot water; not a deal breaker. It is a little odd that the kitchen sink only has cold water, but again, not a deal breaker. The house was also extremely clean and the back patio was our favorite place to hang out and enjoy drinks and Costa Rican cigars. The neighborhood is cute and quiet, and we saw scarlet macaws (!) and capuchin monkeys in the trees across the street along with several species of songbirds. The house is about a 15-20 minute drive to the town of Quepos, 30 minutes or so to Manuel Antonio. We did not rent a car, so Jerson recommended a driver named Luis and we used him several times during our trip, he was amazing! We used Costa Rica Shuttle from SJO to the house and back to the airport, about a 3 hour ride for appx 200 USD each way, great service and well worth the price. We loved staying at Casa Alaia and would book again if we came back to this area of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
We had two families (4 adults, 7 kids) staying here for two nights. The house had everything we needed and an A/C in every bedroom. There is a market nearby, as well as decent food options. The neighborhood is quiet, and the house seems very secure.
