Runaway Gem is a family friendly beach front home with great deck space and wonderful views from everywhere. A raised kitchen and dining area overlooking the living room's two huge sliding glass doors open to the gulf front deck offer views even when inside Runaway Gem. Or, open the doors for a breathtaking airy sunsets; A well appointed kitchen and grill allow for fantastic meals and gatherings.

• All 3 "master" bedrooms have King beds. The 2 other rooms offer bunk beds for the kids' and their friends! (Although both can easily sleep adults if desired)

• The two master suites offer direct deck access (separate decks) for private sunsets or tranquil moments. The third bedroom has a king bed, and is adjoined by one of the two bunk rooms with a Jack and; Jill bath. The 5th bedroom is separated downstairs and has perfect bunks for kids or young-at-heart adults.

An outdoor dining area offers a nice break from the sun when needed; and the lower covered area is perfect for breezy naps or views.

Conveniently located on the north end of the peninsula, enjoy quiet beach moments or take a short bike ride into the State Park. We hope you enjoy your "runaway" in this beachfront gem.

The location was great however, The WiFi was not usable at all. The outside grounds was not maintained at all. The outside bottom house very dirty. Some bathrooms had no towels or toilet paper. I think they should of had more, and should of had at least 3 k-cups for the coffee machine.

The sunset and beach views were amazing. The property was clean. The only disappointment was the empty propane grill tank and I chose a very cool temperature week. But everyone seemed to enjoy it, even the puppy. I would love to stay again, when warmer of course!

Great location and plenty of room in the house! Love that the walk to the beach is so short! Baby monitor reached from the house it was so close. Only complaint was the water pressure in all the sinks were very low. The water pressure in the showers were normal though! Good price in comparison to the other houses around it! Especially for the location. Will be back.

The only drawback is that the only way to get to the beach is down a steep “beach carpet” that someone with mobility issues couldn’t possible deal with. The views are STUNNING! Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent house, well designed. Plenty of room. The only pitfall is not the house itself, but the location. It was two houses down from public access and even though you set your chairs and umbrella up they would still go to the low tide line and set up in front of you. This would be the only reason I would possibly not lease this house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great. We stayed in this home several years ago while under different ownership. The home has been 50% - 60% updated; however, there are still updates to be made and/or completed. Overall, this is an average home, but needs these updates made and/or completed to be competitive with other homes priced in this range. The mattresses and box springs or beds in general need to be replaced as they are uncomfortable and worn. There needs to be additional blankets and throws available in the home. The converted garage needs to be completed. The damages areas of the ceiling need to be replaced. There needs to be additional beach chairs and items made available as those available now are cheap, old and worn. The housekeeping needs to be more cognizant to remove all hair from the home - there was a significant amount of what appeared to be pet hair in the lower living area. With these upgrades, the home will be superior. We still enjoyed our stay.

Runaway gem lives up to its name

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and location were perfect! My 6 year old daughter and 16 and 18 year old sons had plenty of room to be together or apart. We spent countless hours on the beach which was literally just steps from the house. The owners had beach chairs and toys. The umbrella was broken so you might either want to bring your own or rent one. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked every day. The grill downstairs was great for all the fresh fish. I am already starting thinking about coming back next summer!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was nice. My cousin said the upstairs king mattress needed replacing. The porch table could have stood to be cleaned a little. Lounge chairs on the screened in porch would be a great improvement. Being next to the beach entrance results in more people being in front of the house, but that wasn't too bad. Overall, the experience was very satisfying.

Perfect views!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home has perfect views from most rooms. Steps to the beach! There were a few issues (microwave did not work, dishwasher needed repair, and there was a flea problem), but we were assured those would be fixed. It rained one day, and the screened porch was perfect for a lazy day. It would be great if dish soap, kitchen towels, and dishwashing detergent were provided. I think the lack of these is why the dishes weren't very clean--it would be an easy thing to overlook in the pre arrival packet.The garage full of beach toys was a nice surprise. We utilized the fish cleaning station as the fish were biting constantly. Minutes to the state park. We would definitely stay again. You can't beat the location or views.

I am in the construction business so understand you can't stop progress. Was hoping to get away from it. Monday was unbareable, the plywood on the house two doors down was being installed. Had to go six lots down the beach to get away from it. Every weekday was something going on but manage to block it out. I will know next time to ask if a new construction project is anywhere around.

Great Location, comfortable home

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We knew the Greenhouse was an older, dated property from the pictures, so we weren't expecting anything fancy. However, there are so many knickknacks and so many treasured family items that it feels very cluttered. The home needs to be cleared out. Blinds for ocean view should be replaced with cordless blinds that do not detract from view. Very disappointed that the screen porch furniture had not been cleaned, nor had the ocean view Windows. We don't think that should be the tenant responsibility especially during the off season. The house was basically clean, but we found several items hidden away in the kitchen that were not clean--a butter dish complete with remnants of old butter, a disgusting fry pan that had clearly been put on a shelf unwashed. Coastal Joes requires tenants to clean and put away all kitchen items which I think leads to this nastiness. Other properties we rent require you to start the dishwasher before you leave letting housekeeping put items away and check for cleanliness.We also had a couple of maintenance problems while we were there. While maintenance staff was cordial, they moved on their own timetable even though they knew we had to be out of the property with the dogs while they were there. It was not all bad though. Master bed was quite comfortable as was most of the living room furniture. There was a good water filter and plenty of hot water. The view and beach access was amazing.If this home were on an HGTV remodeling show, they would completely gut and redesign most areas in this home.
