Welcome to the Marshall-Laybourn Cottage! This home is nestled in a cove on the South Shore of Crystal Lake, near the west end of Mullineaux Rd. You can accommodate up to 10 people so it is perfect for hosting a larger family.


The spacious open floor plan of the main level allows for everyone to be together. There is extra space for relaxing on the enclosed porch, and you can open the windows that align the room to let the breeze flow. Open the sliding doors between the living area and porch to cool off the entire house. At the backside of the home is the spacious bedroom that opens to its private screened-in porch. The main floor bathroom is also near the back door.


At the top of the stairs, you will find a loft with two twin beds overlooking the living room. To the back of the loft area, there are two other bedrooms, one with a full bed and one with two twins. The bathroom with shower stall is conveniently located between the bedrooms.


Enjoy your time outside on the deck that wraps around nearly the entire cottage. You’ll find a gas grill outside the back door and seating for a delicious meal on the front of the deck. Adirondack chairs line a part of the deck facing the lake, perfect for relaxing while looking out on the amazing view. To the far side of the cottage, you will find a private outdoor shower, ideal for rinsing off after a day in the water. While on vacation take advantage of Northern Michigan's local restaurants, sights, and shopping.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Dock details: Guest may not tie their boat to their boat to the dock. They must use the mooring provided or provide their own mooring when the boat is not in use.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
