About this property

A beautiful, single family home with a contemporary feel, completed in January 2010. This is a one of a kind home with high end finishes throughout. Located right at the end of the famous Minturn Mile back country trail - ski from Vail mountain to your door! In summer, the hiking trail to Lionshead Rock is right out the back door. The spectacular great room is elegantly furnished and ideal for family gatherings or small groups, with unbelievable mountain and cliff views in all directions. There are sliding glass doors out to a large deck at the front and patio at the back. The kitchen has modern gloss cabinets and granite work tops. The master bedroom has sliding glass doors to a balcony overlooking Meadow Mountain, a king bed, a beautiful limestone bathroom with huge soaker tub and a steam shower. The three guest bedrooms all have queen beds and limestone bathrooms ( one with a large shower, the other two with bath/shower) The third guest room also has a full sleeper sofa. There is a mud room and a 2 car heated garage with ski racks. Must be seen to appreciated. Homes this nice are normally not rented. The home is managed by Minturn Rentals

MINTURN MAGIC!

First of all, Tom, the owner, is quick to respond to the smallest question and is a marvelous host. The house is absolutely lovely: huge windows with gorgeous trees in view, fabulous kitchen and living room, beautifully decorated room on lower level with its own bathroom and comfortable twin beds. The decks are wonderful. Be aware that the house is on 3 levels. We stayed in Minturn years ago when we skied Vail and found it very convenient. This trip was June and we visited Camp Hale National Monument and took a guided open jeep tour of the area where my father had been a ski instructor for the famous 10th Mountain Division during WWII. The house is perfect. Enjoy!

Great stay for easy Vail/Beaver Creek Skiing

Stayed here with my family and friends for spring break. Terrific home with outstanding kitchen and family room. Excellent for those who like to cook! Located at the end of the local favorite “Minturn Mile”. A few of us decided to do the Minturn Mile on our last skiing day as a culmination of our ski trip. Thank you Tom!

AMAZING Property!

This has been by far our favorite rental property we have stayed at. From an extremely easy check-in process, to a beautiful home with everything you need and more, I cannot recommend this property enough. We had all intentions of going out for dinner every night and ended up staying in, cooking and enjoying our family. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need to cook. We loved watching the skiers come down from the Minturn Mile run. If this house is available for future family vacations, we will definitely be rebooking. Thank you Tom, this trip has definitely been one of our favorite family vacations.

We first came to the Vail Valley 15 years ago and fell in love with Minturn. It is great to stay in a real mountain town and be only a 10 minutes drive from two of the greatest ski resorts in the world - Vail and Beaver Creek. We live in England most of the year,but our lovely new mountain home with its cool modern feel and spectacular views makes us long for the ski season and the beautiful Colorado summers. We hope you love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

There are very few homes that are truly ski in off of Vail Mountain and this is one of them. The back country trail The Minturn Mile is a great way to end the day. Leave through the back country access gate at the top of the Lost Boy run off of Game Creek Chair #7. Ski down the powder field at top and then follow the run off along Game Creek. it is about an hour run and at the end is our home. It is a very soft back country experience with no chance of avalanche and difficult to get lost.
