A beautiful base for our week away. Spacious with a feeling of luxury.

My family and I enjoyed our stay.

I took my partner here for a romantic getaway. The house is perfectly suited for couples and families alike. We woke in the morning to see uninterrupted sunset views then walked along the esplanade spotting dolphins. The SMEG appliances add a nice touch for a great iced coffee after the walk. The local restaurant/hotel is a stone’s throw away and is ideal for lunches and dinner if we decided not to cook. There is also another cafe run by a lovely Scotsman and a general store for all the essentials. We rented a car through Uber Carshare to see other sights including Port Douglas. We didn’t bring our 4 children, but will be back next school holidays as the house has games, separate bed and bathrooms and a pool that is easily supervised on the deck. Sylvia, the host, provided a helpful summary allowing easy keyless access to the property. We can’t wait to return!

We loved this house so much. So many great spaces for a family to find their own area to chill. It was well appointed, comfortable, touches of luxury and the view was incomparable.

Couldn’t ask for more , amazing, relaxing & magical

We were looking for a little bit of luxury to break up our 1/2 lap of Australia in a camper trailer and this worked out very nicely. Close to the cable car to Kuranda and the Smithfield shopping center but still in a quite neighbourhood close to the beach. Everything was as explained and the property was excellent. Had a slight problem locking a screen door but it didn’t cause us any dramas

Unusual decor. My time was spent watching sunrise and evening closure from the patio. Amazing to step from the patio to walk the beach. Lotsa relaxed reading and self refection. My favourite event was the daily ‘tide out’ mudflats and looking at passing sea traffic through binoculars.

Great place to stay.
