About this property

Relaxing holiday in the castle with its own park and lake landscape

The Château de la Touche in the Côte d'Armor is located not far from the Atlantic coast, nestled in a hilly landscape with rivers and lakes.

As a guest, we welcome you to the Château, which was built in 1579 in its present size and served as a residence for Count Christophe de la Roche, a royal knight and parliamentarian of Brittany.

The magnificent architecture has medieval, protective components such as battlements, the approach of a drawbridge, or moats. At the same time, visitors will be able to encounter numerous renaissance-style elements during their stay. Especially delight the large fireplaces, the light-flooded rooms of the 1st Floor, the raised windows, the elegant front gables, the shape of the roofs.
More than 200 years ago, the castle was surrounded by extensive gardens, which was abandoned in the middle of the last century.

In 2005 we started as a new owner with the conception and realization of a classical landscape park with romantic elements. Today, visitors to the newly created park can enjoy the scent and color of the seasons. There are many treasures to discover: the classic rose garden, the exotic garden with its lush plants. The mystical forest behind the château. Let yourself be seduced by the tree avenues, the own park, the historical rooms for an exploration.

Around the chateau, your children will find a true children-nature paradise. While you read a book in peace, your children play in the spacious garden. A naturally grown, one can say, adventure playground with climbing trees, lake and a creek, the ruin of a watermill will make your stay in a historic place an unforgettable holiday experience for your children.

In addition to living in our nearly 500-year-old château, there are other castles, palaces and fortifications in the area with spectacular chivalric games to explore art cities.
Combine beach holidays, relaxation and history!

You live in the Château, which has been restored since 2005 by us in loving work. Numerous measures for the preservation and revival of the castle were carried out. For our guests, the château has newly renovated, individual, stylish rooms that are designed according to the castle character.
Stylish, in a comfortable atmosphere and very quiet you either live in the castle tower "Tour Boishardy" or in the left wing - in the main building in the "Suite de la Roche"
or in the Junior Suite over the former horse stable.

At Castle Boishardy, you will find 2 en-suite bedrooms, a separate outdoor seating area and access to the medieval battlements, where you can have breakfast in the morning and enjoy the beautiful sunset in the evening.

The Junior Suite was completely rebuilt in 2011/12.
The successful mixture of modern and historically developed apartment consists of 2 levels with a spacious living-dining room, a total of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with TV.

The Suite de la Roche offers you for a romantic holiday for two or as a large family on more than 100m ² - a special flair, you live in the main house, in the original Château rooms. The bathrooms are spacious and elegant. In 2 rooms you have four-poster beds.
This largest apartment can accommodate up to 6 adults. Extra bed for the 7 person would be possible.

In all the apartments you will find tastefully furnished rooms that offer a unique view of the countryside and the Château. The kitchens and bathrooms in the suites have comfortable and high-quality amenities.
If you book all three apartments, up to 15 people can be comfortably accommodated.
A secure parking is available for our guests.

Familie Wiegmann

Charming and full of character - We LOVED it!
On arrival we couldn't have been more impressed! Totally stunning. Beautiful and imposing with lots of trees and outdoor space. The large fireplaces, the well equipped kitchen, the grand windows and the opulent bathrooms. We were very pleased to have been shown to our grand bedroom with a four poster bed. Very large rooms really give you that feeling of space to relax, with plenty of seating areas in the bedroom and kitchen. If you are looking for somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is perfect. We didn't even care that the Wifi connection didn't work as it gave us better reason to stay off our phones for the week. From the Chateau you can cycle on many of the quiet roads, or visit some stunning beaches just over 30 minutes drive away. We visited Plenuef-Val-Andre (after the recommendation from Thomas) and we loved it so much we went back twice more. We took our paddleboards so we were looking for places interesting to paddle with a nice little town for dinner afterwards. Plenuef-Val-Andre is perfect for this. Thomas and his family were so wonderful and while they left us to ourselves, they were also there with any questions we may have had. If you are looking for a rustic, charming and characterful stay in Brittany, you will not be disappointed. We would love to return next year! Sam & Steve South Wales, UK.
