Huuhkalinna by Interhome

140 km northeast from Oulu, near Syöte ski resort in Huuhkanen area, Lake Ala-Huuhkanen 50 m (length 1 km, width 100 m, joined with two other lakes), no own beach. Own rowing boat on the shore. The path to the boat is quite steep, however, there is a railing at the steepest point for support. The boat beach is not a swimming beach; there is no pier and the bottom is a bit soft. The public beach is in Isosyöte, lake Luppovesi, 12.4 km from the cottage: sandy beach, jetty.

Wooden cottage, built in 1999. Kitchen-living room, dining area, bedroom with a double bed, upstairs bedroom with 2 beds (entrance to the balcony is from the bedroom), upstairs lobby with two sofa beds, sauna, washroom/toilet (the washroom was renovated in 11/2020). Two covered terraces (one is facing to the lake).

This cottage is suitable for couples, families and other who enjoy peaceful holiday. The cottage is not rented for groups of under 25s.

Cottage is equipped also with a WiFi -connection and for example stand mixer, mixer, hand blender and waffle maker. Available are sliding snowshoes, two pairs of snowshoes, 2 sleds and toboggans, a small child's skis, hockey sticks and goal. Large yard area.

Nice terrains for outdoor activities. UKK-hiking trail is in 2 km distance. Lean-to -shelters and campfire sites in 0,4 - 4 km distance. Cloudberry swamps and wild wooded hills.

Ski resort Syötekeskus (Pikku-Syöte) 9 km. Iso-Syöte 12.4 km. Mountain bike route in 300 m distance. Syöte National Park 14 km, Syöte Visitor centre 14 km.

In winter season daily Ski bus connection from Oulu to Syöte, operates via Oulu Airport. On weekdays bus from Pudasjärvi to Syöte and back. Distance from the cottage to the bus stop is about 9 km. Please check the timetables of both bus connections always in advance!
