The house was perfect for a quick weekend trip. It was extremely clean with plenty of room. There seemed to be some updates still in process but didn't impact out stay.

Thank you so much for the kind review! Yes, we closed off the closet in the main bathroom to make room for the new shower in the half bath—this way, guests have access to two full showers for added convenience. The wall where the doorway was just needs a bit of paint. We truly appreciate you being such a wonderful guest!
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Ashley and the property. We stayed during Masters week and chose the location because we could walk to the course and avoid the traffic. Ashley went above and beyond making sure we had what we needed and even helped us book a reservation for dinner at a private club in downtown Augusta that had a wonderful sunset view. The house was in great shape and the billiard room was a great place to relax and hang out. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Augusta!

Bad vibes from the start.
The whole process started sideways. Got a call from the host saying the house wasn’t cleaned and asked when we would be arriving. I pushed back our arrival time to help out. When we arrived the ‘cleaner’ was still there and some teenager in a service truck. We waited outside while they finished. When entering the home we found left over food and open condiments in the fridges, cracks and holes in the walls, dirty head boards, chewed up blinds, spray foam in the windows, stained sheets and pillows, a broken egg in front/under the fridge. Being a former host I get people leave stuff but the amount of things was staggering. The home (not shown in pictures) was essentially an haphazard renovation job. The light in the shower of the en suite flickered whenever the toilet flushed in the other bathroom. Not safe. We put it all behind us and decided to stay. Woke up the next morning and found a camera IN THE HOME. The host did point out it was in the ad (I don’t recall seeing it or I must not have read throughly enough) but that is illegal in the state of GA and specifically stated in the VRBO terms of service. When I mentioned it to the host she said ‘it was only pointed at the gun safe since they haven’t moved it out yet’. First, it’s illegal to have cameras in a rental home. Secondly, who do they think is going to move a 500lbs gun case. We decided to leave. Gathered our things and the host refunded our stay.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that your experience didn’t align with your expectations, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points.
Before your arrival, I reached out to confirm your check-in time and to let you know our cleaner had not yet been through the home due to an unforseen circumstance. You mentioned you wouldn’t arrive until 8–8:30 PM due to work, which allowed us time to ensure everything was ready for you. Perks of being local hosts!
The "teenager" you mentioned was actually my adult son in his work truck, kindly updating the door code—not exactly a random bystander.
As for the condition of the home: there are absolutely no holes in the walls. The ceiling crack in the master bedroom is cosmetic and stems from a foundation issue that has since been professionally repaired. It's purely visual and poses no structural concern.
You also mentioned leftover items in the refrigerator—these included common condiments like ketchup and mustard, eggs, an unopened sausage, and potatoes. Interestingly, those were cooked and enjoyed during your stay, with the leftovers still in the fridge when you left.
There were no other items "left behind."
The egg that was left behind was a tiny piece of egg shell that was less than half the size of a dime almost under the refrigerator. My apologies that must have stuck to the floor and was missed as its the same color as the flooring.
Now, regarding the lighting: I can assure you flushing the toilet does not cause lights to flicker. The bathroom fixture is a Bluetooth-enabled light that flashes once when powered on as it pairs—techy, not spooky.
As for the suggestion of stained sheets—we have a zero-tolerance policy for that. If a sheet is ever stained, it's replaced immediately. But I can confidently say none were stained at the time of your visit.
And yes, the bit of spray foam you noticed at the bottom of one window is there intentionally—to prevent air from escaping. Functional, not decorative (but is hidden by the blinds)! Honestly, with that level of detail, I have to say—you may have missed your true calling as a home inspector!
All jokes aside, we’ve hosted many wonderful guests who have complimented both the comfort and care put into our home. We welcome feedback that helps us grow, and we always aim to respond with transparency and a bit of grace.
Wishing you all the best in your future travels.
