About the host
Hosted by Raymond Brunyanszki
Hello, my name is Raymond Brunyanszki, originally from The Netherlands. Fifteen years ago me and my business partner Oscar Verest bought a hotel in Camden Maine. A boutique hotel with 20 guest rooms and suites and a fine dining restaurant.
Over the years the hotel and restaurant became a favorite of many returning guests and in 2013 we were honored to become member of Relais and Chateaux. We always try to offer a unique experience, making sure our guests have an unforgettable stay while highlighting the beauty of the mid-coast of Maine. We are beyond grateful for all the recognition and awards we received. Ranked number 19 boutique hotel in the world and being included in many nominations and awards by magazine's like Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast, or USA Today (Ranking Natalie's Restaurant number 8 Best Hotel Restaurant in the USA in 2019) are flattering. But at the end of the day it is- and always will be the most important to have each and every guest staying or dining, eventually going home with the best possible experience.
That was already important to me when I started my career in hospitality over 30 years ago when I started working as a tour leader for a high-end Dutch Travel Company with tours to Indonesia and Thailand. I made a career consulting some of the best hotels in the world before I decided to doing what I love most. Being directly involved with offering people a dream vacation in one of the most beautiful areas in the world.
Make sure to say hello when you are staying or dining with us. I love to hear your stories and when you decide to book the villa or a room at our hotel be ensured that our team of over 50 very talented and service minded professionals from around the world will do their utmost to make you feel at home. Like many you may even end up buying a house here and never leave!
Welcome to our Camden Harbor Villa! Welcome to Maine!

Why they chose this property
The villa was initial the house of the owner of Relais and Chateaux Camden Harbour Inn. While living in the house, Raymond, realized that the historical villa would be ideal for a vacation rental while still benefitting from all the amenities the Camden Harbour Inn has to offer. The only in-town 3- bedroom / 2- bathroom villa offering history, an A location, Curated Gallery quality art and beds, linens and service as you would expect at a luxurious hotel. Including safety features ( hard wired smoke detectors, fire distinguishers, carbon monoxide and gas detectors and a one touch call to the front desk of the hotel).
The villa is adjacent to the hotel and restaurant. Because being so close to the main hotel, the guests at the villa can enjoy room service, twice daily housekeeping or perhaps a private cooking class.
The villa offers a large living room divided by a semi see true gas fireplace in partly a TV room and a seating area. The open floor plan offers a dining area for 6 to 8 guests and a chef's kitchen has seating for 12 at a semi island and separate bar seating in a nook overlooking the deck and lawn. Everything you may need is available, from a variation of china ware and glass ware to all the cooking tools and spices you use when making a meal.
A large deck offers lounge seating, dining for 8 people, a Weber BBQ, area heaters and designer lights for a al Fresco dining, a cocktail party or just soaking some sun.
The house has 3 king bedrooms, one can be set-up as a double twin. Top quality Egyptian cotton linens, towels etc. All rooms have smart TV's operated by Monchierge/Apple TV
Everyone has his or her's bathrobes, bathrooms have Molton Brown amenities, and a hairdryer. All bedrooms have ample closet space with a Iron and Ironing Board.
Stay at the villa because you like to enjoy all the high quality amenities you have at home, while a dedicated team is taking care of all your needs.
