We are just off I-29 in northern Missouri between St. Joseph and Platte City. This tiny cabin is across the driveway from our house on flat ground. Our property is 21 acres and includes a yard of 6 acres and fields (alternating corn and soy beans) and a wooded area. There is a fishing pond down the hill behind our house. There is also a fire pit to the left (north) of the cabin. Around the fire pit are swings and benches. We call this area Geriatric Park. It used to be a playground for our grandkids, but when they outgrew it we adults took it over!
We have a gravel driveway which services our house and the cabin. You park next to the cabin. There is a kitchenette with the necessary essentials and a small bath with a shower and toilet. There is also heat and AC.
If you love nature and want to relax, walk in the fresh air, or even be put to work, just let us know. We want your stay here to be enjoyable and hope you look forward to coming back!
We are in the country not too far from the Pigeon Hill firing range, so you may hear gunfire from there.
Nearby are several wineries, the McCormick Distillery in Weston MO, and historical St Joseph MO (where the Pony Express began and Jesse James ended), as well as several antique stores. Just a little further southwest is Leavenworth KS, which has a huge amount of history and more antiques, and Fort Leavenworth (the Army's Command and General Staff College (CGSC)). To the east is Jamesport MO, our local Amish colony.
This is a farm. We have dogs, cats, goats, chickens and ducks. If the thought of a bug, spider web, or strand of hair makes you cringe, this probably isn't the place for you. The cabin is clean between each visitor, but is not prepared for a forensic inspection. Thanks for understanding!

A lovely little farm. Fresh eggs, and fun to watch the goats. Not close to anything but a good midway point for our trip. The tiny house does sleep four comfortably, but it is tiny. I am very glad there was a table on the front porch. We fed the fish and sat on the numerous porch swings that were around the property.
the property is beautiful and so peaceful. the tiny house was very comfortable for my daughter and I. we enjoyed our dinner on the front porch. will stay again if it is available when we are in the area
The cutest cabin on the prairie. Very clean and organized for a tiny home. Linens, bedding, basic things like soap, shampoo, coffee, and bottled water all thought about. Host even has a notebook full of area attractions and places of interest. Very quiet location, but close to gas stations and fast food if needed. Will definitely book again the next time I have to make the trip to my frequent destination.
Host is great, fast communications and greatly accommodating! Wonderful area and beautiful.
Would recommend to all (but this place is our little secret :)
5 Stars!
We only had one night in this cozy little cabin, but it was very well set up & had everything we needed for our short stay! Our two dogs enjoyed it too!

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Hope you find time to come back!
Clean and quiet just the place you want to relax. This cabin is well thought out when being set up and the host are welcoming and wonderful to work with. They also have a magnificent property to explore with it’s rolling hills.
Nice little cabin in a quiet place. The owner was very friendly, good at responding in a timely manner, and was most helpful. The location is perfectly out of the way but not too far to get to local attractions without driving all day. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.
I really didn't get to enjoy the property as much as I would have like to because this was a quick in and out stay but it was a really cute set up! Very cozy and comfortable!
This is a large and lovely piece of property which the hosts have creatively turned into a great place for a family get together. The evenings were beautiful and quiet as were the mornings. The cabins were well stocked and the hosts were super attentive and helpful. For sure we will be returning.
My kids and I only got to stay one day (from check-in to check-out). All things considered, a one day visit was a thousand times better value than Disney World. Hands down. Go for a walk? Why walk when there is plenty of room to run? Plenty of places to play as well. Maybe we’ll just relax instead. Did I say relax? Oh yeah, we took time to relax. With friendly hosts who make you feel right at home, it was easy to just relax. Thank you for making our stay so amazing. It was so pleasant, it feels like it was all a dream. Thanks!
