The solid stone building was Built in 1815 for the Tabers who built blocks and pumps for the whale boats. As you'll see in the photos is an architects dream.
Huge exposed beams and posts tied together with steel rods its an amazing engineering feat.
Using the stairs or the private elevator you'll arrive on your first floor. Antique recycled heated flooring from the building itself will welcome you. Stainless steel banisters will make you think you've just stepped on a megayacht.
The most incredible view in New Bedford. Panoramic views from the huge roof deck. Over looking the working harbor and out to the Elizabeth Islands. As well as views from every window. The restaurant below is Cork Wine and Tapas. Its very popular and probably the best food in town. On warm weekend afternoons, you may be able to listen to some outdoor music at Cork from the condo's deck.
On the 2nd floor there is the the 2nd floor of Cork. Depending on the day, it be heard from the 1st or 2nd floor of the apt. If you're looking for a place in the busy city of New Bedford with parking where you can walk to everything this is it! If you want to hear the crickets, this may not be the rental for you.
SECURITY CAMERAS. There are several security cameras on the lower level used by the Cork restaurant, there is also one located at the front door of the condo and one in the foyer by the elevator in the apt. The coverage areas are only of the door at entrance and the door of elevator and the immediate floor space in front of it.
