The location was perfect and it was right on the beach. The house was clean and beds were comfy. The listing was accurate. Highly recommend this place!
Then house was perfect for a pre christmas retreat for out family. Lots of room for us to gather together and also have a little privacy too. Perfect location on the beach and near everything.
Enjoyed staying at the house. Loved the decor, wouldn’t change a thing! Loved the location too! Really enjoyed our stay there. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Very centralized location, very convenient. Everything in the house was clean and up to date. The view was absolutely outstanding! We loved our week at this house.
We loved our stay here! It was very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect--short drives to lots of shops and restaurants, and the beach access is amazing. We even saw dolphins from the kitchen window! As with most beach houses, the selection of kitchen utensils was pretty random, and games and puzzles are in a similar situation. But if those are your main complaints, that's a pretty great vacation! If we come back to the Outer Banks any time soon we would stay here again.
Check-in/out was easy and the location was great, but we were disappointed to find the hot tub needed repairs and was inoperable during our stay. The host/mgmt. co. didn’t communicate well and would take several hours before responding to our requests. Other than that, the house and beach were lovely and we enjoyed our stay.
Nice home, lots of room, great space for everyone during our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub, ocean views with tge beach right off the back deck , sunrises and spotted dolphins swimming each morning. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, etc and the home was nicely decorated. The checkout process was quite fast & easy. The location in KDH made getting to various activities, shopping and restaurants very convenient. We were here late March, weather was typically in 60s every day, comfortable, no rain. Some restaurants & activities were not open yet for the season during our stay but still found lots of things to do, explore, eat, etc (and not over-crowded like other spring break destinations which was a huge plus for us!). The beach seemed clean and safe. A few of the downsides of this property: 1) it was annoying having to make our beds on arrival (unsure why this isnt done by housekeeping as part of their process?), 2) pillows/beds may be older with a lot of use (need to be flipped, reversed or just replaced), 3) sheets/towels were pretty thin (could also be replaced), 4) location of property across the street from The Jolly Roger, a bar/restaurant which played quite loud music late into the night which was mostly an issue for the primary bedroom & other room on street side of house Overall we were happy with our stay here and would recommend it and would stay again if visiting the same area.
The price to stay here was reasonable, especially given our requirements for 3 bathrooms, beach front property and queen/king size beds. Furniture has been updated since the photos were taken (red furniture is gone, replaced with blue). The location, right on the beach is perfect. It's nice to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the views or take the boardwalk down to the beach. The house is very clean. This is the only location we found with an elevator. Great for elderly family members and for hauling your belongings up to second and third floor. It is also one of the few places we found with a bathroom for each bedroom. Be aware that you need to bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, bath and beach towels if you are staying more than a couple days. And you will need to bring your own dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap and other basic supplies. For example, we were given 1 dishwasher pod even though we were staying for 6 nights. Would be nice if they provided enough supplies for the number of people you have staying at the house and for the number of days you are there. All appliances were working and we had no problems there. The hot tub is always on so if you are sensitive to "white" noise from the motor, you may not want to stay in the 2 waterside queen bedrooms on the second floor. Not a problem for us as we all use hearing aids :-) The property manager is very responsive and answered all my questions quickly, both through the phone and VRBO message app.
