About this property

Table Rock Lake! Luxury Cabin Sleeps 6 to 16! Fun for all! Public lake access.

The Hearthstone Table Rock Cabin is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a vacation rental that can host multiple generations or a group of friends looking to spend quality time together. The cabin offers a spacious, comfortable area, and is fully equipped with a range of amenities, making it a popular destination for guests. There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy that cater to guests of different ages, and ample space to relax and unwind during your stay. The guest book is filled with excellent reviews from previous guests who have left with cherished memories of their time spent here and children begging to stay one more day.

Our home is just 0.2 miles away from the public boat access point. It's worth noting that Table Rock Lake is managed by the Corps of Engineers, who prohibite vacation homes from renting or allowing guests to use their private docks and slips. However, we have come up with the next best solution. We offer ample flat parking space for boat trailers, so you can conveniently park your boat and enjoy your stay. There is plenty of space for turning around and accommodating multiple vehicles.

As you enter the home, you'll immediately notice the spacious and open feel of the high ceilings. The house provides ample space for everyone, with two living rooms, one perfect for movie nights and the other ideal for chatting or playing games. The heart of the home, the spacious kitchen bar, accommodates a sizeable 9-foot-long bar to ensure everyone can enjoy cooking together or provide advice while sipping their wine. The house is designed to bring everyone together while still allowing them to engage in various activities, catering to all their diverse needs and preferences.

-Comfortably sleeps 16 in 10 beds.
-Seats 22 at tables and bar.
-Ample room to park cars and boats on property

-All new mattresses, bedding and towels.
-King beds.
-Fully stocked chef's kitchen and nearby grocery store that makes cooking for a crowd a breeze. (Ok maybe not be a breeze, but easier.)
-A large Rec Room with ping pong, foosball, game tables, an extra refrigerator, and a half bath. This Rec Room is separate from the home, allowing some to continue the fun long after others hit the sack.
-Private fire pit. We provide firewood and roasting sticks.
-Swings, playhouse, and slide in the backyard provide hours of entertainment.
-Propane grill.
-70" TV

-All the bedrooms are generously sized to provide ample space.
-Spacious cabin, room to spread out for games, TV, and outdoor fun.

Centrally located close to all you need for a fantastic vacation! Something for everyone is nearby.

Lake access:
-1/4 mile to Table Rock public boat ramp next to the Shell Knob bridge.
-4 miles to Campbell Point Marina
-6.5 miles to Kings River Marina

Other nearby attractions:
-29 miles to Eureka Springs
-21 miles to Roaring River
-11 Miles to Dogwood Canyon
-30 miles to the Passion Play-33 Miles to Branson
-35 miles to Silver Dollar City.

-With groceries nearby, a crowd is easy to please. The Harter House has a superb selection of meats for the grill and prepared sides to make things easy.

Or....
-Mexican, Italian, and American Shell Knob has a variety of restaurants that are convenient for when you are too tired to cook.

We love the location of our home, especially because it is situated near the Shell Knob bridge spanning Table Rock Lake. The lake has an impressive 800 miles of shoreline, more than California! It can take quite a while to drive around the lake, which resembles a dragon's tail to me. However, the Shell Knob Bridge not only adds to the beauty of the area, but also provides quick and easy access to both sides of the lake, making it a prime location as you can reach several attractions on both sides without driving the perimeter.

Our home is just 0.2 miles away from the public boat access point. It's worth noting that Table Rock Lake is managed by the Corps of Engineers, who have prohibited vacation homes from renting or allowing guests to use their private docks and slips. However, we have come up with the next best solution. We offer ample flat parking space for boat trailers, so you can conveniently park your boat and enjoy your stay. There is plenty of space for turning around and accommodating multiple vehicles. A second option is reserving a slip at Campbell Point Marina, just four miles away. Make sure to do this beforehand. Marinas are allowed to rent slips, while vacation rental homes are not, but the slips book up early.

We take pride in our hospitality at Hearth Stone Table Rock Cabin, and we strive to make our guests feel welcomed and comfortable during their stay.

Great fun!
We had a wonderful time staying at the house. Everything was very clean and organized when we arrived. There were plenty of supplies and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Communication with the host was very smooth and any questions I had were answered promptly. We traveled with five kids and they spent countless hours playing ping pong in the game room. We also had plenty of room in the house to spread out and do our own things. If there were any “negatives” we were surprised at first to find the house right off the road but the convenience of getting to stores and marinas was worth it.

Best house for family vacation
This house was perfect for our family vacation! It was so close to the Marina for our boats and there was a grocery store right down the road. The house is huge and has so many amenities to help us enjoy our stay.

Southard Family summer Trip
We were extremely pleased with our decision to stay for 6 nights at The Hearth Stone Retreat in Shell Knob, Missouri. We had a very memorable stay. We re-bonded with our teenage grandchildren. Our group rented a boat and tubed on Table Rock Lake; our younger family members spent a day at Silvef Dollar City; we went to the dinner and play at The Shepherd of the Hills; we toured the Titanic Museum; we ate hamburgers, fries and had peach cobbler with ice cream at Billy Bob Dairyland in Branson; we attended a very energetic performance of The Haygoods at the Clay Cooper Theater in Branson; we attended a stunningly beautiful production of Queen Esther at the Sight & Sound Theater in Branson; we ate a wonderful Italian dinner at Ermilio’s Restaurant in Eureka Springs; we ate some really delicious, warm cinnamon rolls with pecans from The Root Cellar in Shell Knob; we spent an evening watching fire flies and sharing Sasquatch stories around a fire in the fire pit behind the house. It was a very memory-filled 6 day stay. Thanks to our hosts, Catherine and Richard Ramshaw, for having the vision to build this wonderful home and filling it with everything you will need to have a terrific time with your loved ones. We hope your stay here will be as life-affirming as ours was.

Family reunion
Enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything was clean and lots of space for all of us to hang out. Decent location although close to the highway and no water access or view. Plenty of options nearby that worked out just fine.

About the host

Hosted by Richard and Catherine Ramshaw

Host profile image
Richard and I raised four kids, and now that we are empty nesters, we spend our energy on houses. We do 1- 3 residential flips a year. We dreamed of owning a bed and breakfast since we married in 1989. In 2022 we exhausted ourselves on three flips, and with the proceeds, we decided to purchase this property in Shell Knob. We have worked long hours to make it a place families can enjoy. We know it will always be a work in progress as we love to dream about what is next.

Richard and I have had a ball dreaming and creating a place that we hope will surprise and delight you, one you will want to return to for more great memories. We hope you will not want to leave and dream of returning to Hearth Stone Retreat!

The Ramshaw’s

Why they chose this property

We love this home! And we love Shell Knob! Shell Knob is known as the quieter side of Table Rock Lake - A place to show off your water-sport skills, catch a record-breaking bass or sit and soak up the beauty around you. Centrally located less than 30 miles from Eureka Springs, Dogwood Canyon, Passion Play, Silver Dollar City, and Roaring River, to name a few, all great day trips!

We tried to think of everything! Games, comfortable gathering spaces, quiet spots to sneak off for a nap on new beds and bedding. Hearth Stone Retreat is a place to escape the speed of life, slow things down, and reconnect with each other.

Shell Knob is a quirky little town - population 1306 that feels like a step back in time. Local restaurants that pride themselves in serving tasty homemade food with a smile that says, "We are glad you are here.". Sneak away for a bit of shopping and antiquing at the "Red Barn Market," where you are bound to find something you can't live without. Harter House grocery has a meat department that puts all the big-name grocers to shame! Seriously, a fabulous grocer that will make your crowd happy!

Eureka Springs, founded July 4th, 1879, has been where, as a boy, my husband's family vacationed each summer, visiting his grandparents' cabin, the kind of cabin that had a well on the kitchen floor! Since our marriage, we have enjoyed visiting Eureka as a memorable getaway. Eureka's unique shops and stellar restaurants, with the food you dream of (Thank you, Gaskin's Cabin), are a place to return to. Eureka Spring's history, visions of a time gone by, as you stroll the limestone streets. The town oozes with character and charm. Make it a day trip or two!

What makes this property unique

This custom-built log cabin home is spacious and comfortably accommodates large groups. The interior of the house is warm and welcoming. A large granite bar, built by my sweetheart, because I said, "It will be the heart of the home, and I want it to have a giant heart with room for everyone to gather around." New beds, new bedding, and new fluffy white towels—we want you to sleep deep and feel pampered!

The home sits on a private 1.6-acre lot with plenty of space to spread out and play. We have an outdoor "Rec Room" with Ping-Pong, Foosball, and more, as well as an extra fridge for cold drinks or treats. There is also a fire pit perfect for sitting under the stars and talking late into the night. We provide the firewood at no extra charge.
Don't forget the marshmallows!

The long driveway accommodates multiple vehicles and plenty of room for your trailer and boat. We are located .2 miles from the public boat access that is just over the Shell Knob Bridge, literally a 1-minute drive. Besides being a beauty to behold, the bridge grants you immediate access to both sides of the lake, which is a huge perk that cuts down on travel time.

Richard and I do residential flips as our real jobs, and we love to make a home extra special. We want the family who buys one of our homes to walk in and say, "This is home!" even if for only a few days. We hope you will do the same when you enter Hearth Stone Retreat. For a few days, soak up all the memories you can, and plan to come back again soon!
