Escape from the hustle and bustle at Mill House Cottage. Originally built 1898-1911, loved & cared for ever since. Originally built for one of the Erwin Mills managers. After World War II, textile mills began to consolidate or move overseas, and the Erwin Mill in Cooleemee was impacted. In the 1950s, Erwin originally sold controlling interest of their mills to Abney Mills of South Carolina. 1962, control of the mills changed hands to Burlington Industries. Cooleemee is rich in history.

We stayed here for my daughter’s nearby golf tournament— what a gem! The house is homey and super clean with plenty of towels, dishes and even snacks and kitchen essentials (salt and pepper, coffee). Highly recommend!

Thank you so much! You were amazing guests and you are always welcome back!
Every detail about this property has the visitor in mind with the intention to welcome and relax. The house was clean, beautifully appointed, comfortable and cool in the 95 degree days. Each bedroom offered wonderful natural light, privacy and a lush comfortable bed. We enjoy the comfortable shaded sitting areas on both the front and back porch. A wonderful experience for my sisters and I.
The home was comfortable and clean. Monica left the lights on for us and there was cold water in the fridge. The home has a lovely remodel with convenience and homey decor. The rural home is close to a main road and has easy access to getting to Salisbury. Monica was great to work with.

Thank you so much for your visit! You are always welcome☀️
Excellent place to relax and spend the night. Traffic noise is noticeable but overall, the place was great. Ladybugs shared the place with us but seemed to bring us good luck. Our friends stayed with us for the first night, so we took the second-floor bedroom. Bed too soft for me but a nice room. Five stars.

Thank you so much for sharing! Yes, we have cozy toppers on top of a luxury mattress, I definitely try to make sure it somewhere I would want to sleep in the mornings. It’s that time of year for ladybugs, I’m glad they brought you luck! We appreciate your review:)
