Enjoy wonderful dining and shopping. Kiawah is one of the top U.S. destinations for golf and tennis, and offers 4 challenging courses for the golfing enthusiast.

Located within the private gates of Vanderhorst Plantation, this home offers a fully equipped gourmet kitchen - Wolf/Subzero appliances. The sunroom has a bar, wine cellar and ice maker for your enjoyment, and opens to the deck overlooking the lagoon and the Osprey Point golf course that features a Jacuzzi and patio dining. There is a master bedroom on the first and second floor, each with a king bed, a third bedroom with a queen bed and private bath, and a fourth bedroom that is ideal for kids of all ages - a double / twin bunk bed and an additional twin bed - also with a private bath. The fifth bedroom doubles as an entertainment area with 2 double futons and a private bath. The home features flat screen high definition televisions, cable television, DVD players, high speed internet, and unlimited free local and long distance telephone service (continental US only).

The home is situated on a private cul de sac and is an easy 8 minute walk to the beach or a brief bike ride. A maximum of 4 cars can be parked in the driveway. On road parking is not permitted.

Winter trip

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. Fabulous layout. Wonderful kitchen, reading nook, large bedrooms and family room. Beautiful deck and hot tub overlooking a lagoon. Short bike ride to the beach and miles of bike paths to explore the island and all of the beautiful nature. The owner was fabulous to work with. We will definitely stay here again.

Summer Vacation

The house was just perfect for our family. The bedrooms were very nice and bathrooms stocked with needed items. The kitchen was great for cooking and having 8 chairs was wonderful for eating and playing games! The location of the house was great for the little ones to ride their bikes and for all of us to ride to the bike trails close by. The walk to the beach was easy and convenient. A great time was had by everyone!

Large House for family

Overall our stay was great! About a 10 minute walk to beach. Bonus room had condensation leaking from ceiling & walls. Notified property owner. Hot tub had sand in it from previous users.

Why they chose this property

My family has vacationed on Kiawah Island since I was 9 years old. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent on the beach, sailing, and bike riding here as a child. I am thrilled to be able to share these experiences with my children now. While it is only 5 hours from our home in Atlanta, Kiawah is like escaping to another world with the semi-tropical surroundings.

What makes this property unique

Our home is conveniently located within a short walk to the beach, or a short drive to multiple golf courses and tennis facilities. There are numerous great restaurants and shopping within minutes of the property. A spa is available at the nearby Mobile 5 star rated Sanctuary Resort, or just relax in the private Jacuzzi and enjoy the wildlife in the lagoon in the private backyard.
