About the host

Monica and Pat aren't crazy about flying but love to travel: we visit Europe whenever we can and enjoy eating our way through work trips to China and Vietnam. We grew up in China and Fairfax County, Virginia, respectively, lived in Columbus, Ohio for 20 years, and are now happy to call Orange, Virginia home.

Why they chose this property

We moved to the Holladay House because we were looking for a home close to the universities of Virginia - we provide educational experiences in the US for Asian students - and close to Pat's family in Northern Virginia. Living in a house this old is a new experience for both of us, and we find it to be very rewarding.

What makes this property unique

Things that make this house special include:
* The home's fascinating history and the cast of characters that have come through it
* Being right on Main St. in Orange, walking distance to cool shops and good food
* The convenience of town living (city water!) while being minutes from the beautiful countryside.
