Not a well maintained property

Cabin is in very rough shape. Multiple appliances cracked, floor lifting/trip hazard in bathroom, damaged windows that are open to the outside even when it’s wet/very cold. Owner didn’t care and said no one has complained before. I find this very hard to believe. Worst VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. I have pictures of everything.

Cozy Mountain Cabin Great for Families and Groups

Ron is an excellent host who was very responsive and helpful! We chatted after I submitted the reservation and he was very accommodating for our larger group, which was a relief due to the relatively short notice of our booking. The cabin is a true mountain cabin, so charming and a bit rustic, but definitely warm and comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your time in the area. This was our base for skiing at Dodge Ridge and was perfect for what we needed! Regarding 1 of the other reviews, I thought there were enough pots/pans/tools for cooking simple meals, but if you plan to prepare elaborate or large dishes, you may need to bring your own baking/serving dishes. Also, there appears to be only a Keurig coffee maker for making single cups of coffee. We really enjoyed our time here and would come back again - thanks Ron!

Great Family Cabin / A Little Quirky

We had a great time with family members at this great little cabin in the woods. Winter time is our favorite time to go to Twain Harte so our kids can play in the snow. This cabin worked well with the multiple families and everyone had a bed - which was wonderful! The cabin is a little quirky - half of the light switches do not work (lamps have manual switches); not many kitchen pots/pans, and cooking utensils; missing volume remote for TV and no way to manually turn it down; and not many cleaning products or broom. Pack like you're camping. Otherwise, it was a great time and a fun location.
