John is a fantastic host. We had this last min.booking with him, as our previous reservation in another town was cancelled by its host when a strong snow storm hit the area. John helped us out and saved our trip. And turned out his house is also fantastic, great location, very comfortable and surrounded by gorgeous nature! Our family had a very wonderful vocation there. The trail just uphill offers amazing view during sunset. I highly recommend this place and we will come back again!

Hi Judy, so glad this worked out for you. It turned out our power went out that day and lasted EIGHT DAYS. That's the longest stretch we've ever had. PGE had to keep extending the outage due to increased line damage issues.
Glad John was able to offer you a safe and enjoyable vacation.
Best,
Gail DeLano
We loved our stay. The house was so cozy and so many fun vintage features. Loved the pellet stove made the cabin so warm and cozy. The mud room came in handy because it was raining and we took our shoes and jackets off in there. Our dogs had a great time walking down the hill to go for walks in town or just walk around her property and sniff every tree. Thank you Gail for keeping your dad’s house and renting it. We loved everything about it. We will be back in summer to experience the deck and bbq. The Eberle Family and dogs.

Thanks, Laurie, your handy helper husband, and dog team! Thank you keep my grandfather's 1942 cabin in such good shape! My cleaner said 'oh, she left the place very clean' - quite the statement for that many furry friends in the house.
You are welcome back any time -- the deck, swing and BBQ await in the summer!
The property was exactly as described and a nice cabin in the trees. Clean and comfortable with the necessities, close enough to walk to restaurants in town and in a quiet neighborhood.
We loved this cabin! The layout and location were perfect for us. We had 3 children with us and there was plenty of room for them to play outdoors. It was also a short walk to multiple eating options.

The home was warm with knotty pine walls alongside nicely updated bathrooms. We each had comfortable rooms and slept well in the fresh mountain air.We were in a prime place to walk into town and enjoy a meal and also to wander and explore, hike or swim in a lake.Great communication with a quick response to questions. It may have been our best place ever in Twain Harte!

Happy New Year to you and your family
This property was great! Big outdoor deck and lots of space outside for the kids to run around and play. Conveniently located and getting to town/restaurants is very walkable if you want to take a break from driving. We spent almost every day of our stay at Twain Harte lake- only a 5 min drive and the kids loved it!
Wonderful place Gail has. Beds are comfortable and the deck is quite beautiful.
Gail made this seamless, very easy to deal with. Close to everything, you can walk to the store, restaurant, bar. Then breakfast in the AM. Would stay again.

Charming cabin, fantastic location, and great host!
This cabin was charming and cozy with an awesome deck for BBQs and hanging out. It cools down nicely after 4pm, even during to warm summer.
The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. And the cabin was a five minute walk to town. We'd definitely stay again.

Why they chose this property
My grandfather built this cabin in 1940 for his family. After my father died, my mother continued to vacation at Twain Harte with the four kids in my family. We'd stay the entire summer and loved it. Still do. Currently, I own the property along with my brother and we have improved it throughout the years - new roof, foundations, siding, interior walls, new electrical, new plumbing and tankless water heater, log woodwork, new deck, a completely remodeled upstairs bath, and added a dishwasher, garbage disposal and more cabinets in its traditional cabin kitchen. The cabin is very updated with a vintage feel. If you're looking for new, luxury vacation rental, please ask me. Am happy to provide some recommendations.
What makes this property unique
Large flat property with parking for 10+ cars...many lots in Twain Harte are smaller with little parking. Great place for kids to safely play away from the street. Cabin sits among many tall pine trees but is less than 1/3 mile from the little town of Twain Harte, and 2/3 mile from Twain Harte Lake. Deer visit the property often.
